@terryenglish I think the left just rolls their eyes at Obama calling for moderation, they know he was an important step. I have never seen they actually coming after him.

totally. It's much clearer to think of the #fediverse as the only true social "network", but back in reality, I'd really like to see either the app or mastodon.social re-brand. Not easy or fun I'm sure. Or we need a different instance/server to become the dominant default.

@wjmaggos I agree the name stuff is confusing as hell. But really the problem is with calling any of this a "social network" because that term is tainted by 15 years of "centralization"

@astheroth have you read his book "capitalism and freedom"?, throughout his entire book he has a pathology for the state as a negative entity and completely ignores the ways in which the US originally got rich during the 19th century.

I also lost count of the times he mentions declining service to "Negroes" as free choice.
