@matrix @ArdanianRight @druid i don't really have a position as to whether she was a fascist or not; my beef with her is that she was a hypocrite and a whore whose entire ideology expired back in 1982 when she turned her back on every principle she'd previously espoused. Too bad she didn't die before she managed to convince people like Alan Greenspan that social safety net programs should be reduced, causing suffering to untold thousands; we can thank social security and Medicare for keeping her alive long enough to ensure that later generations got fewer benefits than she enjoyed in her lifetime.

@matrix @druid @ArdanianRight Ayn Rand spent her entire life railing against social security and medicare, only to sign up for it herself (and her husband) at the end of her life. Her foundation and her followers have a multitude of weak excuses for why it was ok for her to be a hypocrite instead of starving to death like the "leeches" she condemned to starvation and deprivation for years, because reasons, ok. Also she was a cheating whore who was fond of rape fantasies like the ones she put in her books, but that's not important right now.

Ain't that, sadly, the truth. I can't believe those people. They are fighting against their own interests.

I knew that, and started fighting the best way I know how. I started to pay for a space with #LibremOne. I am kind of isolated, but I guess, this is a small price to pay for #FreeSpeech.

I figured, since I am paying them, they have to tolerate me a little. 😁 I stopped contributing to #Mastodon due to that very purpose.

But I am for free speech, even if I disagree ✌️
