Businesses are openly talking about temporarily firing people so they can get government benefits rather than having to pay them themselves as well. It’s all rather disgusting.

I think people just need to fundamentally change, move beyond being gluttonous animals. Or else some form of this corruption will happen no matter what.
@terryenglish @shampoobottle @shit @cereal @dielan @moonman i mean i like the idea of going full french revolution tbh - it just seems that people in themselves not matter how much they try to change end up in the same systems of exploitation in different ways. There is hope that we are changing and evolving in our consciousness, like fewer people die in general due to violence than ever before and the idea of ‘freedom’ is extremely prevalent. But i still think we got a way to go before the change will actually stick.
@a7 We need to do more institutional analysis. We need to take seriously the way the giant social/legal machines that we've built work and behave.
