@shampoobottle @moonman @cereal @dielan na probably just a /pol/ fag with a lot of time on his hands, its been a conspiracy for a bit.
@shampoobottle @cereal @dielan @moonman i mean with out the buzz words it is sorta true. Just like with 911 those in power are gonna use this to get a lot more power. It’s just the buzzwords and their implications that are conspiratorial.
@terryenglish @shit @shampoobottle @cereal @dielan @moonman ya i dont think theres any conspiracy behind covid 19 than people are filthy
@a7 They don't need to conspire. The US corporate elite stole a huge amount of money from the taxpayers right out in the open. They even had much help on the inside. Meanwhile the American public gets a pittance that will evaporate in less than a month. Plus that pittance will get taken back at tax time. @shampoobottle @shit @cereal @dielan @moonman
@terryenglish @shampoobottle @shit @cereal @dielan @moonman hmm not sure what we need, but strong leadership in government seems to never work out well also. I think people just need to fundamentally change, move beyond being gluttonous animals. Or else some form of this corruption will happen no matter what.
@terryenglish @shampoobottle @shit @cereal @dielan @moonman i mean i like the idea of going full french revolution tbh - it just seems that people in themselves not matter how much they try to change end up in the same systems of exploitation in different ways. There is hope that we are changing and evolving in our consciousness, like fewer people die in general due to violence than ever before and the idea of ‘freedom’ is extremely prevalent. But i still think we got a way to go before the change will actually stick.
@a7 We need to do more institutional analysis. We need to take seriously the way the giant social/legal machines that we've built work and behave. It seems to me that we are okay on an individual level it's just that these institutions need to have their behavior corrected. @shampoobottle @shit @cereal @dielan @moonman
@terryenglish @shampoobottle @shit @cereal @dielan @moonman i think the term for the practice is ‘corporate welfare’ - its been going on for a long time in general, people complain about muh socialism when the forbes 500 is propped up by muh socialism.
