On the final stretch of developing Fortunae, the offline-first personal finance tool. I'm completely exhausted but I feel like this product is actually going somewhere.

Getting reports from people in Indonesia that they're unable to access Write.as... Things look fine from where we are, but they're getting this error: DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN

Anyone have experience verifying if this is indeed censorship happening, and if so, working around it? Retoots appreciated!

Sometimes caring about your privacy online causes a lot of anxiety. It's easy to go too far and don't live at all because of it.

I guess you have to find the place you're comfortable with.

@adalbertsen Haha, aye, I have a little chinese Cube 10" laptop that's great, but gets hot like that in one corner, as it has an M3 Intel crammed in it vs. the usual Celeron lower power units.

@adalbertsen Very true, I'm running a few year old heavy Republic of Gamers laptop that I can't really load up or overheat, way over specced for what I do, so did away with that bar :P

@adalbertsen That's what I've stuck with, I actually decided to run i3 Gaps with no Polybar/Status bar or anything. Most of the status bar type stuff I don't need to know often, and being i3, when I do, its a quick terminal away.

@adalbertsen I'll admit, despite a huge acting career, as soon as I saw The Professor again in Sliders, it took a while to not see Gimli the dwarf πŸ€“

@adalbertsen I enjoyed it, hard to find online, but rewatched it last year and it was a fun series to go through again.

Following -19 medical advice is a partisan issue in the US now. The virus is non-partisan, but if one party engages in riskier behavior resulting in more deaths among its members, recent elections have been close enough that it could impact the outcome in November.

Must be an interesting day at the different VPN providers with such great marketing opportunities being given to them by external circumstances.
