More and more reviews are being published about our email service - and since a couple of months about our calendar as well. π It feels good to know that the data is safe in Tutanota: https://tutanota.com/blog/posts/tutanota-secure-email-review
@danarel@mastodon.technology I would like to bring to your attention a few errors on your site (https://www.thinkprivacy.io/). First of all, Telegram does provide a transparency report (https://t.me/transparency) and it is mostly open source. I would also like to mention that Wickr has only only released the source code for its cryptographic protocol as far as I know. I would also like to recommend LBRY as another alternative to Youtube. I am a huge fan of your work and I hope it keeps improving! π
Ditching the Google Play Store is not as difficult as you think. Did you know that there are more ways to get many popular apps on your #Android phone besides via the Play Store? Here are some examples:
https://signal.org/android/apk/
https://www.whatsapp.com/android/
You can also get apps like Tutanota, Bitwarden, Telegram and the entire Librem One suite through F-droid (an alternative app store). Try it out: https://f-droid.org/. #privacy #privacy4everyone
The #librem5 is slowly making its way to becoming one of the best privacy-friendly alternatives to the current smartphone duopoly! However, if you can't stay without apps like #Signal and #Whatsapp, just get #LineageOS on a compatible #Android phone.

Linux desktops have come a long way but many people still perceive it as being 'difficult'. In this article, Jason Evangelho discusses how to mitigate this issue and encourage wider adoption. π
With many improvements in wireless networks yet to come, I still feel that wired networks are superior. There is less interference while being more reliable. Not to mention, all this radiation is probably not good for us as well.

Thanks @gnome for the great work you do for everyone as we all benefit. By taking action on behalf of the opensource ecosystem against patent trolls it helps make the world a better place for all (maybe not the trolls though). Remember because of @purism and GNOME we finally have a great mobile phone UI. Shout out to KDE, UBUNTU touch, Pine64 and others helping linux on mobile become a safe alternative reality for all!

Firefox appears to be pushing the limits for their users' privacy protection. I personally use the Brave Browser due to their integration with known privacy extensions and TOR. Which browser do you prefer?
