@Tutanota Not all tracking is bad, though. It can be quite useful, in fact, in certain situations. For example, who wouldn't want their ebook reader (offline or web-based) to automatically store the place where you last stopped reading so you can resume from there later without having to remember it yourself? The question is, then, who has access to this data. I feel that is why services like #tutanota are needed. To control the access to such data than to prevent the collection of it.
@Tutanota I find that disturbing. I appreciate that you are being transparent about this. ๐ ๐
@Flipp3rrr @libreoffice How did you get 'just' Excel? Doesn't it come with the entire suite? How do you use Excel on Linux? Is it through the web app?
FYI, I am just really curious. ๐
@tagomago @libreoffice I noticed that too. However, there are quite a few comments in this thread where people use multiple platforms. Thus, the results may not be completely accurate. However, I agree that Linux is where most LibreOffice users are. (Myself included.) ๐

@Linux4Everyone Great article! Many Linux users (myself included) have almost no clue about things on the 'other side'. It's good to have a healthy dose of reality once in a while if we are to go further. Thanks! ๐

@Linux4Everyone It would be great if you shared the links to your videos on LBRY as well, especially on Mastodon. ๐
Just came across this. Boy! I'd say the guys behind the scenes have the toughest jobs in movie production these days. They deserve a trophy. ๐
@dd@toast.cafe @purism I am actually waiting for 'Batch Fir'. It should have matured quite a bit by then.
@JoshStrobl That's nice! Although, I've heard several complaints about how it is not 'optimized' well for the Linux platform. What has your experience with it been like?
@JoshStrobl Do you prefer to use the Spotify web app, the Linux client or 'ncspot'? ๐ค
Look out! System76 is following a growing trend of Linux distributions using a 'Pay What You Want' model. After being highly popularized by the folks at Elementary OS, this business model has started gaining traction as an ethical method of receiving funding for FOSS projects. What do you think? Is this the way forward?
@Tutanota Soundcloud and FIimmit seem to be doing pretty decently. They are only 'unsatisfactory' when it comes to the data retention period.
@lunduke Linux may be in second place at a glance for the lowest percentage of unhappy users but it actually has the lowest 'number' of unhappy users. That is showing 10.5% of roughly less than 2% of the desktop market share. Am I right? ๐ค
