@purism I definitely see this as an option for installing the new Plasma Bigscreen in the future. Hopefully, KDE will support more than just the Raspberry Pi.
@Tutanota It is definitely concerning to know that this state of surveillance might remain long after this pandemic. However, we must first ensure that people can get through this safely. We'll have to deal with the consequences later. It is encouraging, though, to know that privacy preserving solutions to aid this cause are already in the works.
@JoshStrobl Wow! Thanks for sharing this. ๐
@ubuntu Can't wait for it...! ๐
@Tutanota That's a neat system. I really like the fact that you are giving more control to the users. This might really reduce the number of false positives. ๐
I was listening to some music and I ran across this gem.
@purism Nice work! I can't wait to see the day the Librem 5 gets mainstream appeal. Keep it up! ๐
@Tutanota Would it work for the Tutanota Desktop app? ๐ค I tend to avoid web apps to access my most important online accounts due to their inherent security vulnerabilities.
@JoshStrobl I checked out 'POSIX' on DuckDuckGo. I still don't get it. Do you mind giving me a crash course? ๐
@popey Nice reference! ๐ I had to do a similar thing with all the old laptops (non-functional) I had gotten over the years. Good luck! You'll need it.
@popey I agree. This would have been fun to follow through (especially during these days). Unfortunately, I don't have a Nintendo M82. ๐ฅ
@Tutanota It's a good thing I don't use Gmail, Yahoo Mail or any US-based email providers. Although, if this becomes accepted, there is a chance that other countries will try to enforce similar laws.
@torproject Is there any chance you could provide us with an AppImage in the next stable release? ๐ค Using tarballs to distribute binaries on Linux is kind of old fashioned.
@e_mydata It's nice to see that you support causes like these too. Keep it up! ๐
@popey Wow! You should be 'bored' more often. ๐
@sphyphes Many apps are currently unsupported for mobile Linux platforms. I don't think 'distractions' are an issue yet.
@sphyphes Another option is to get a PinePhone or a Librem 5. Although, I am going to wait for about a year in order to let them mature as a platform. Until then, the 'basic phone' it is.
@sphyphes If that happens, you have your smartphone to fall back on. Besides, those phones are pretty inexpensive. You won't lose much.
@sphyphes Try it. It isn't as horrible as it seems at first.
