@JoshStrobl Wow! Thanks for sharing this. π
@ubuntu Can't wait for it...! π
@Tutanota That's a neat system. I really like the fact that you are giving more control to the users. This might really reduce the number of false positives. π
I was listening to some music and I ran across this gem.
@purism Nice work! I can't wait to see the day the Librem 5 gets mainstream appeal. Keep it up! π
@Tutanota Would it work for the Tutanota Desktop app? π€ I tend to avoid web apps to access my most important online accounts due to their inherent security vulnerabilities.
@JoshStrobl I checked out 'POSIX' on DuckDuckGo. I still don't get it. Do you mind giving me a crash course? π
@popey Nice reference! π I had to do a similar thing with all the old laptops (non-functional) I had gotten over the years. Good luck! You'll need it.
@popey I agree. This would have been fun to follow through (especially during these days). Unfortunately, I don't have a Nintendo M82. π₯
@Tutanota It's a good thing I don't use Gmail, Yahoo Mail or any US-based email providers. Although, if this becomes accepted, there is a chance that other countries will try to enforce similar laws.
@torproject Is there any chance you could provide us with an AppImage in the next stable release? π€ Using tarballs to distribute binaries on Linux is kind of old fashioned.
@e_mydata It's nice to see that you support causes like these too. Keep it up! π
@popey Wow! You should be 'bored' more often. π
@sphyphes Many apps are currently unsupported for mobile Linux platforms. I don't think 'distractions' are an issue yet.
@sphyphes Another option is to get a PinePhone or a Librem 5. Although, I am going to wait for about a year in order to let them mature as a platform. Until then, the 'basic phone' it is.
@sphyphes If that happens, you have your smartphone to fall back on. Besides, those phones are pretty inexpensive. You won't lose much.
@sphyphes Try it. It isn't as horrible as it seems at first.
@sphyphes @protonvpn No. F-Droid is pretty strict about using only FOSS. Read it here: https://f-droid.org/en/docs/FAQ_-_General/#why-isnt-my-favourite-app-included.
@sphyphes @protonvpn ProtonMail is still very much proprietary, besides the core technologies and the web interface. I doubt it will come to F-droid any time soon. I do hope they will atleast provide an APK until then.
