@Tutanota My system tray icon disappeared after updating to v3.67.4. I am on Linux Mint 19.3.

AppCentre for Everyone is off to a great start. With 25 days still left for the deadline, it has already more than covered its intended campaign goal. This just highlights the existing need in Linux. Consumers need high quality software and developers need a method to effectively monetize their work. A round of applause to the @elementary team. Well done! ๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ‘

@purism @bilelmoussaoui@mstdn.fr If more people start contributing like this, it will really make the Librem 5 'rock solid' as a mobile platform. @purism should consider implementing a native incentive system to boost development. (Which is similar to what Elementary OS is doing: indiegogo.com/projects/appcent.)

@peste@mastodon.uno @Tutanota It is highly unlikely that anyone who is 'uneducated' about privacy will ever look beyond Gmail. If someone comes across Tutanota, the chances are that he/she is looking to improve their privacy and security. Hence, more space may not matter much in the short-term.

@Tutanota No hard feelings. However, if you want others to take you seriously about privacy and security, you must stand by what you say and lead by example. That's just my two cents. ๐Ÿ˜„

We all know that is not always the prettiest solution to our daily needs. What if we could change that? What if we could motivate the developers to put more time and energy into building better, sleeker and more functional software that adheres to everything we love about FOSS? That is exactly what the Elementary OS team plan on doing. Support their cause and become a backer: indiegogo.com/projects/appcent. Please share this with others.

@Tutanota You make me wish I lived in Germany! ๐Ÿ˜‚

For those of us who play video games on Linux, the news that Rocket League will lose most of its functionality on the platform was a bit of a shock. This video offers the most radical method to handle this issue: invidio.us/watch?v=XBLCr7eeSAQ.

@Tutanota You should really share the video link for Invidious: invidio.us/watch?v=n8l_xV6z8EY. After all, you recommended it in your blog. ๐Ÿ˜

@Tutanota It is truly commendable that you have taken so much effort to support . It is quite ironic that a lot of 'secure service providers' essentially prevent audiences that are serious about privacy and security from using it. Well done, team! ๐Ÿ‘

P.S. Your CAPTCHA doesn't always work properly. Please continue developing it and 'ironing' out the bugs.

@aeveltstra @Tutanota That's more difficult than you think. Some of the most prominent names in the privacy sector are based in or funded by companies in the USA. (Eg: Signal, TOR, Wickr, DuckDuckGo, etc....)

@Tutanota I would love to come but I am not in Germany. Are you going to live stream the lecture?

@protonvpn That's great! I've been waiting for this. Well done! ๐Ÿ˜ ๐ŸŽ‰ However, I agree with the others. You aren't the first to do this.

@resist1984 @jonas @wuwei Please remember that not everyone is talented or even interested in everything. There are some people who can swim very well while there are others who are learning to swim or even afraid of water. That does not imply that they are 'mentally challenged', though. That is why, for the good of everyone, we need to recommend something that anyone can use easily. What matters is that they can do what they need to do while also having a certain degree of privacy. Cheers! ๐Ÿ˜

@resist1984 @wuwei @jonas DDG is generally received as privacy-friendly. Check PrivacyTools, ThinkPrivacy and the EFF. Furthermore, a lot of users find even DDG not as user-friendly as they would like. It would be a nightmare to convince them to use Searxes. ๐Ÿ˜•

@Tutanota I am just curious. What OS do you run on those computers? ๐Ÿค”
