@danie10 Quite unfortunately, they still use Windows for 'email, the web, and fun.' It would have been nice if they used Linux for everything. π
@danie10 π Yeah. I guess Linux is 'getting everywhere'! Although, I do have to point out that Windows is just using the Linux kernel. As you might already know, what we call 'Linux' is more than just the kernel. In the end, I have to wonder. Is it really 'Linux' even though it uses the same kernel? π€
@danie10 I know. I heard. DirectX is just an API. There are a lot of elements in an OS besides a kernel and apps with a GUI. I may be wrong but I doubt that it is still 'Linux' we are actually talking about. I also doubt it is due to 'compatibility issues'. The same feat could have been achieved in a much better way as highlighted by @gbryant. π€
