Just discovered this, sounds freaking incredible.

github.com/ventoy/Ventoy

#Ventoy is an open source tool to create bootable USB drive for ISO files. With ventoy, you don't need to format the disk over and over, you just need to copy the iso file to the USB drive and boot it. You can copy many iso files at a time and ventoy will give you a boot menu to select them. Both Legacy BIOS and UEFI are supported in the same way. 200+ ISO files are tested.

Welcome to all the new (soon-to-be) #PinebookPro and #Pinephone owners! We've got a blog post for you with the basics of what you need to know, and where to find more information or help, should you need it.

@a1batross @georgia @pasture @NaiJi

Contact sales@pine64.org and you should be able to pay in a different fashion! I know for a fact a few people have paid by wire transfer, for example.

We're working on having other options on the store, but there's many issues to be overcome.

@theprivacyfoundation Usability of the hardware is ready for daily use. Software isn't quite there, but UBports is very close to ready, and should be near perfect in the coming weeks.

Tried out #elementaryOS over the last few days. Comparing it to mainline Gnome3, it's a fair bit slicker. I like the OSX-style dock, and holy crap I've missed column view. On the other hand, some things are frustratingly obtuse: Defaulting to the shortcuts window every time you hit meta, app switching without a pop-up window showing which app you're on, and single-click open in column view are all incredibly frustrating. Charging $5 for a launcher menu editor is also... less than ideal.

Just tried to order a #PinePhone. Unfortunately it turns out that the #Pine64 store uses #PayPal as their sole payment processor.

Given that I am a big proponent of voting with my feet, and PayPal is blacklisted from handling both my money and my private information, this won't do.

Is there any other way to get money to @PINE64 or do we have a No Deal?

Direct bank transfer is preferred, but if necessary I could look into getting myself a proper credit card.

Just discovered Flatseal on Flathub: flathub.org/apps/details/com.g

Along with other gems like Lollipop, Fragments, Icon Library, Colour Palette, Bustle, I'm really enjoying the renaissance in GNOME app development that Flatpak and Flathub have ushered in.

Russia asked for access to Delta Chat user data ... so we had some explaining to do :) Cheers to decentralized app designs and the e-mail system's separation of apps and message transport, something that Whatsapp, Telegram and the likes fail to offer ... delta.chat/en/2020-05-01-roska

I was fed up with getting email notifications from twitter because of logging in from Linux. After some researches to find out how to disable those notifications, I finally found a solution! I stopped using twitter :)
