I am looking for someone able to program a simple android app (and eventually teach me some basics) to contribute on a free and open source project.

Since this app does not exist yet the language will be #Java or #Kotlin: your choice.
The app will be something similar to a feed reader.
Simple material design maybe using cards to show the "feeds".

Crazy random thought: could one use the fediverse as a "comment section" on a blog? Every blog post contains a link to the search page on a fediverse instance with the query for a hashtag like #mydomain_slug. So every post gets its own unique hashtag. Clicking the link shows every "comment" about that post.
