My first i.MX8MQ device. Not the #Librem5 which I ordered more than 4 years ago, but #MNTreform which I ordered two months ago. Thanks to @mntmn for making it happen, and christmas spirit (whatever name it has) which made sure it was all in time and in proper order :)
p.s. There's also nice green keyboard next to it but it didn't fit the viewport :) Both items are very solid and well made.
@mntmn Happy holidays and thanks for your superb work and comprehensive support, you and team really deserved a good celebration!
@mntmn No, today not, she said she mailed already inquiry and was told it will be shipped tomorrow. Sorry for bothering, the _semi-surprise_ secrecy complicates communication :)
@mntmn Ok, nevermind, just to know it's in progress and on track as promised (not delayed) is sufficient. Thanks a lot for your great work, looking forward to get hands on both gears :)
@mntmn My wife is in despair, says my Christmas present is still not shipped. Any chance it will be next few days? laptop came in 3 days. but he later the more chance to slip the date.
@veggero Maybe something has changed but last time I used QML (QtQuick 5.3) it wasn't a javascript but ECMAscript implementation (JavaScript is also ECMA-262 implementation).
@xpil@fosstodon.org well, if the developer cannot fix simple memory corruption via boundary checks (eg running nose) - how can I trust him to fix the backdoor? I'd need to reverse-engineer the whole code to prove the fix indeed doesn't introduce even worse vulnerability (because he doesn't even provide source code, only binary patches).
@mntmn One of those is mine, you do be careful with it! :)
@kyle Toyota had subscriptions for a long time now (Remote Connect is one of them), although they are all opt-in. At least in Europe.
@steinarb @fribbledom I use pgsql whenever I have a choice between two, but I have to admit pgsql has much steeper learning curve. Even mysql/innodb is easier to start with (but harder to get it right). On the other hand if you ever worked with oracle - pgsql is an obvious choice (very easy schema transition).
@jcbrand @pleiades@mastodon.sdf.org You can move somewhere here to CZ, but better outside of Prague. Even though it's still EU no one gives a sh*t about restrictions once you step out of Prague.
@mntmn till year's end or till Christmas?
@marcel_kolaja A nabidl jste to do koalicni smlouvy?
Hey, look, my #MNTreform state has changed on @mntmn shop from backorder to this!11 There's a slight hope I get it under the pillow, even earlier than my evergreen (order and model) of #Librem5
@DeveloperMemes Not only this, but also internet standards. Try to untangle modern cryptography - what is active, recommended, superseded, updated, deprecated. You will never ever figure by simply looking at (what you think might be) relevant standard.
@kyle Thanks for the hint, I missed since it was banned in USSR (at the time I was digesting local district library). And later I was consuming amazon and it didn't pop up somehow (among others in the likes)
