Wow, @purism is *so* close to reaching its goal of 5k #LibremOne subscribers!๐ฑ Want to know what it's all about and sign up? We got the details ๐๐ป https://t.co/CneDQyiTqb #opensource #privacy
@klaatu oh I didn't think of it, but you're right, it is like a proof of concept more than anything. Lots of features that just leave me unsatisfied. That is a great way of describing it.
@klaatu I am feeling withdraw from not being able to customise everything to my preference. I spent this whole day trying to get used to the interface, but I think I might switch back to XFCE after tomorrow. I don't really enjoy the flashy shiny graphics as much as I did when I first logged into Enlightenment this morning. I prefer smooth, minimalism, I think.
Gosh... I think I need to write a blog post about this.
Librem One is over 92% of the way to our backer goal! WAY ahead of schedule!
If you haven't already signed up, now might be a good time to at least grab a free account (chat & social media) so you have your user name reserved. ;)
@juliobiason oh dang that one is cleeeeean and nice. It will soon be installed. I'm still looking for more. Eventually I'm going to make a txz package that I can install on any system that will modify all my settings and make my computer great again. ๐๐
@juliobiason I will look into that one. Thank you!
@jordan31@fosstodon.org I have long thought that it is weird that University students and teachers look down on community colleges. I tend to think that Community colleges are the better choice for most people. This push to send every kid to uni is kind of disgusting. Call it consumerism unleashed. Indoctrinate them young that college is a right and that they need college and you create an endless supply of cattle to the butcher.
@klaatu I can already tell you that the interface is going to take some time to get used to. It is very... clicky. There are a lot of clicks that must happen to get things done. But it is also very pretty.
Question.
In the about page on their website, they mention that they work with Tizen. Is that the same Tizen that powers Samnsung phones?
@klaatu Hey look at this! Dang, Enlightenment is really slick. I might stick with it for a while, but I have noticed a performance drag. We'll see. Thank you for the recommendation from 4 years ago... hehehe
Oh hey! I updated my CSS... didn't realize that #BashBlog created 2 css files. That is where my problem with the css came in. Now it is fixed! Yay! Time to experiment and break everything!!!!

@Wolf480pl@niu.moe Bahaha! I tend to be that way with Linux stuff and programming stuff. Languages hold my attention enough for me to focus better on them. For Python I actually had to have a project or I never would have finished studying the basics of the language.
I know some people would maybe not have the internal strength to complete a field of study without prodding by teachers, but that is why I think community college is useful.
Okay, so this is a little off the cuff, but I got my thoughts out on my blog.

I didn't proofread it, so forgive any errors in spelling or grammar. This is pure stream of consciousness.
