I wish there were more vocal people in the professional Linux video editing and graphic design space on social media! Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one.

People: Linux sucks! You can't install anything you need on it and it is so hard to use.

Also People: Oh look! Chromebooks!

Cars should not be wirelessly connected to the internet. I get that starting your car with an app can be cool and OTA updates are a thing, but not everything should be connected to the internet. Imagine getting hacked while driving and losing control. It sounds weird now, but it absolutely is possible and will become more possible.

Nobody talks enough about or even considers the freedom of their tech. It's a VERY important subject! Look into who gets your data and where it goes.

OK!! I have had the issue of getting "error code 999 and GPU memory full" using DaVinci Resolve Studio on my hybrid graphics laptop running Linux for A YEAR now!!! Finally found a solution via Reddit and it's to launch resolve using this command:
__NV_PRIME_RENDER_OFFLOAD=1 __GLX_VENDOR_LIBRARY_NAME=nvidia /opt/resolve/bin/resolve
It works fine now so far!! Hope anyone else with this problem finds it useful! I am not a Terminal junky and try to do everything via a GUI but at least it works now!

The existence of Lil Nas implies the existence of Big Nas, and an entire product line of increasingly larger network attached storage devices

@thelinuxEXP Love your show Nick!! Keep up the great work!

Here is the first episode of the #Linux and #opensource news podcast!

Compared to the videos, I go into more detail on each topic, and I also talk about more topics than what I can cover in the videos.

It's currently only on the website below, and there's an RSS feed to add it to your client of choice, I'll try and add it to other podcast directories in the future (but Spotify doesn't want it for now, spits out a random error, so it will have to wait).
