@thelinuxcast Weird! And all dependencies are met? Are you using the default .run file from BMD or something customized for OpenSUSE?

I love Mastodon... I just wish some of my immediate friends were on it!

@thelinuxcast Awesome! I use Resolve everyday for work on my Kubuntu systems, so I'm curious, what's the install process like on OpenSUSE? Is it difficult to get going?

@ryanabx I am a die hard Plasma guy, even on my System76 Thelio... But Cosmic is getting me excites

#cosmic #compositor now supports letting xwayland apps scale themselves. This is how #kde #plasma handles fractional scaling for xwayland apps by default, but for cosmic you need to enable the setting in the display settings.

What this means is that HiDPI aware xwayland apps will no longer have to be blurry on wayland!

Works great! Don't mind the small cursor, I'm sure that will be ironed out hehe

Thanks to Drakulix and the System76 team for the awesome work!

@raphagm I only speak English... But I love the screenshot!

@EposVox May favorite part may be the store that's integrated in. I hope users continue to add features

@EposVox I see you wrote Boatswain, good app, but I don't know how much updating it gets and features added. I've liked StreamController on Flathub. It seems to have a lot more going for it

@EposVox @BrodieOnLinux @thelinuxEXP In the world of Linux capture cards you really need to check out the Kondor Blue HDMI to USB-C "capture card"! Plug and play with Linux for one HDMI input and works flawlessly with OBS, Zoom, etc. for only $35 with no install necessary.

@EposVox Let's not forget making it look like Windows. I way prefer Plasma, but I'll give it to Gnome... much of their design is more original

@EposVox Very far indeed! If you do After Effects type work, BTW, you should check out Autograph. It's a new application on Linux, Windows, and Mac

@kyle I'm in the process of switching my personal email from Librem to Proton for this exact concern. I've been a paying member since the start and Purism has sadly stalled on any visible progress and I signed up expecting better progress to happen. I may even need to figure out how to migrate my Mastodon instance away from Librem One. I wish them the best, but it's starting to feel like a cash grab operation.

@killyourfm I think the best option is to keep it as is, BUT, offer an "unstable" branch that allows you to run the latest for modern fixes.

Amazing video by Shane Milton getting Affinity Suite installed on Linux!! I REALLY hope someone can make the process simpler, because it actually seems to run very well for a Wine install! Thank you Shane!!
