Rust 1.79 on my PowerPC MUSL machine fails to build the getrandom v0.2.15 crate with a segfault. Same with earlier versions down to 1.75, which builds it just fine, the difference being, the latter is built with LLVM15 and newer ones — with LLVM17. This gives us our main culprit.
It's truly appalling that LLVM keeps breaking a rather stale architecture so often 😩

Why the fuck does crates.io require JS and refuses to show any content at all without it?
Requiring a full browser with JS support just to view info on modules is even worse than Go giving you URLs in help messages — it was bad enough, but this… is simply unacceptable! 😩

Hey #programmers of Fedi, what is the best notebook/IDE for #python3 coding on a Windows machine. Please keep in mind, we are not super tech savvy, so the simpler to install/run the better.
We want to get back into #coding but honestly it's a bit overwhelming to figure out where to start.
