But this game — isn't Doom, it doesn't appear to be successful. If you want it to fail — ignore it, but what you are doing is the opposite — you're promoting it. Were it not for the threads of ones outraged by it — I wouldn't even know that it exists.
What I find odd is that nowadays in contrast to Doom, it's not parents worried about the violence who want to decide what doesn't belong in a videogame, but most often those in their twenties who don't even have kids, but okay🤷

I just find the fact that bullying is recognised as a valid strategy for achieving something good disturbing, I don't care about the game — it's for a crowd that neither of us belong and I'm not the one to decide what does and what doesn't belong in a video game. And you shouldn't either, don't like it = don't play it — it's THAT simple. Banning swastikas from Wolfenstein or Doom for the violence and demons — the idea isn't new: https://www.wired.com/2011/09/germany-ban-doom/

Well, they had to tie that to combat mechanics somehow, cancel and normalise are fine with me, but recognising *bullying* into submission as a valid strategy for achieving something *good* is too much IMO 😱

@swaggboi It's EXTREMELY rare — it happens 1-2 times a year. The biggest problem it usually causes is having to reboot it when it's not the right moment as something big is being copied over the network and I have to wait for it to finish first, making it reboot automatically would only make it worse 😄
It would make sense to attempt rebooting automatically if the connection is gone for more than a few hours, but it was usually happening when I was at home and it was easier to do it manually.

@swaggboi My router is just buggy and sometimes gets in a state when it can't re-establish the PPPoE connection until you reboot it.
This is a very nasty bug, happening to some OpenWRT users, but it's really hard to investigate as it only happens once in a few month and is probably related to a bug in firmware 🤷
