Do you happen to still have a link to that? If so, share it please, that's very interesting!

How dare you! Aren't they building products that are "private by design"? 😏

Look, their website can't even display text without JavaScript being enabled, how could you not trust such nice people? 🤣

And you don't have to MAKE everyone switch — that's an asshole behaviour, but they don't have to make you use what you've uncomfortable with either.
People in the case from the original post have switched from one single-vendor thing to another one, WhatsApp isn't that bad cryprographically, Signal just has better reputation, but all in all it's not such a big step up IMO

@Hyolobrika
You don't have to be THAT indispensable — when I didn't have a phone capable of running WhatsApp and people from the groups I used to be in just asked one of those who could contact me otherwise to ask me for my opinion. It worked fine. But if people want to contact you directly, they should use whatever you've comfortable with — that's just normal 🤷

As far as I understand it (and back in my days few would've come up with the idea of storing something as complex right in the DB👴🏿) — there are no extra steps! As PostgreSQL allows working with JSON objects stored in it. So effectively this just shifts some workload to the DB instead of dealing with it in Elixir.

Microsoft Pleroma® for Workgroups™ should be able to use Microsoft Access!

We can fix this! By storing backups Pemorla' database… in the database 💡

I don't know who that is TBH, but has to be someone famous, considering I've seen the link to that thread on either HNews or Lobsters after I've already seen it on Fedi.

@splitshockvirus
BiWindowing disorder — when you keep switching between your Wayland and Xorg phases 😳

The Life and Death of HTMX: youtube.com/watch?v=inRB6ull5W
I haven't watched it (can't stand watching videos), but it came up yesterday on Lobster' RSS feed. But you've probably seen it anyway, so I don't even know why I'm posting it 🤪

@splitshockvirus @not_benis
He should just switch to Wayland, games won't work => tearing problem solved 👍🏿
