@grey
Sadly, it even made inroads into the software development side of things. Luckily I do not have to deal with npm shit, but it looks like a prime example of it: bvisness.me/microlibraries/
But it's not JS only — it's everywhere: Python, Go… I'm probably in the minority still using PowerPC and 32-bit Intel machines, but this "let's de-prioritise support for obsolete architectures and support Apple Silicagel instead!" pisses me off immensely.

Aren't these mass-produced (not in big quantities of course) and sold on AliExpress? 🤔
I think I've seen a disassembly thread of this thing somewhere here on Fedi…
But I don't mind of course — it's still a very cool product!

Would Pizza Hut be opening its doors in the finale? 😂

Za Gorbachyova!

@kaia
Well, it makes some people more bearable 🤭

Oppenheimer is sure not the best choice for a movie date 😂

@FrailLeaf
I refuse to!
The thought of arriving back in the eighties when smoking made you one of the cool kids seems more… inspiring 🤪

@sysrq
Smoking makes you cool again? What year is it? 🥴

Куда интереснее вопрос: «А зачем эта страна нужна их детям и им?» 😂

@kravietz
But this is still a good thing, right? Because apparently a lot of Western celebrities don't know whom they better stay away from, e.g. Seal: billboard.com/music/music-news
“By going there, I played MUSIC for the Chechenyan people. I’m a MUSICIAN and would appreciate if you leave me out of your politics”,— OMG, that is so pathetic, especially the "leave me out of your politics" part🤦

@MK2boogaloo
Why is motion blur a good thing? 🤔
It might make things look more "realistic", but otherwise is one of the most annoying effects ever IMO

@sun
Subvert? I've always thought they have established it! Something offers you defence against DDoS — and suddenly it's everywhere, in just a few years it's nearly a monopoly! I can't imagine anything more fishy than that!
And revenue model is oddly close to "protection money", having extensive access to all that infrastructure they can organise the DDoS, then offer you a solution.

Find a long thread ending in the usual tech blabber, go to the original post the thread started with…
"BBC interviews a rando britbong about the migrant hotels in Rotherham, UK"
OMG, that is so Fedi! 😂

@EricIndiana@pixelfed.social
What is the intended use of this thing, is it like a treadmill? 😸

@Jdogg247
I think on Fedi I see "flabbergasted" way more often than I normally should 😅

Looks like a nice tutorial, complete with bringing the dependencies in, of how to do things (making a chess engine in this case) in Zig: johns.codes/blog/making-a-ches

@msbellows @nancycomics
Isn't it just another way of saying Quod licet Iovi, non licet bovi — through comic, not about actually not being allowed to wear shorts in the 1959? 😄
