I've almost joined Fedi and I'm only eating bulgur! Do I qualify?
What privileges am I eligible for?

@mntmn @aperezdc
Sure, we can probably find uses for them, I even used neural networks for OCR myself via libfann, before machine learning and big data became buzz words even. But I'm still not sure that I might need it often enough to benefit from performance boost from having dedicated units for that 🤷

@Economic_Hitman @meso @kaia
Are we, as her followers, eligible for free bugz? 🥺

@thor
I'm not even going to attempt to change your mind — more going outside is a great idea!
I wonder if this counts as a negative response? 😅

@hastur @molly0xfff
Round of applause for this brave corporation! 😅

@Hyolobrika
That's debatable! Claiming that receiving notifications (and they will stop working in absolute most applications) isn't basic functionality for a smartphone is like claiming that basic functionality for electric kettle is holding liquids 😂

You:
— But cone of cold is fine?
ChatGPT:
— I would allow it 🤖

@larsmb @tante
Most smartphones would have to ba labelled then, because almost all of them rely on Google or Apple infrastructure at least for notifications — when and if those go offline, their users would be in serious trouble.
Of course, there is UnifiedPush, but I'm not even sure installing something like ntfy is possible on Android that comes preinstalled on most phones.

@Kierkegaanks
I do not discriminate against a particular kind of personal transport and hate them all equally 😂

При чём, верности не супружеской, а верности сами знаете кому 😏

@lanodan
I troubleshoot my hardware like that 😁
Quite often 😏

@r000t
I don't know many zoomers outside of social media, but there are even older people like that — when you send them something via email, you have to also call them and tell them to check it. They do understand how it works, but their usage patterns are indeed something like that. So yes, you might be right!

@kaia @vix
And on a motorised wheelch… wingchair — controlled by AI! 🤪

@r000t
Exchanging messages with people who might be on some other server might be something they've never seen before. They grew up with this shit, with "apps" — none of which are federated.

@r000t
Fair point, but where do they grasp that idea from? I grew up using email and for me it always made sense, for younger people — even if they aren't particularly dumb, the concept that they might use different software on the same device to access their stuff and keep their address — using an alternative client, might already be pretty novel.
