Ой, золотое время было! Я тогда купил Lumia 800 — просто ради прикола, до этого ничего ни разу в жизни не было — ни от Microsoft, ни от Nokia. Ну Windows же на телефоне — вот смеху-то будет!
На удивление, мне телефон очень понравился… всем, кроме того, сколько он держал заряд. Пришёл в магазин — ну, думаю, сейчас начнётся. Но нет — просто сказал, что не устраивает время автономной работы и при мне же забрали и вернули деньги на карту.

One-way connectivity most probably — when the instance itself can connect anywhere, but is unreachable from the outside. It works for me though.
Sometimes I can make the post I don't see visible by entering its URL into search, sometimes I can't see half the thread no matter what I do. Fedi is truly held together by spit and duct tape 🤪

My installation definitely does, I just could not remember whether I had to do something to get it installed or it was just installed with some update, looks like it's the latter: https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/microsoft/built-in-tar-and-curl-utilities-to-be-included-in-windows/
Before that curl was an alias to Invoke-WebRequest that I have mentioned above, but it was confusing as syntax was completely different — I think that is why they have decided to finally include their own build of the original utility.

I think it does now, OpenSSH too, it just doesn't get installed by default.
Even if you don't have curl, PowerShell is installed by default now and this one's a built-in I think: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/powershell/module/microsoft.powershell.utility/invoke-webrequest?view=powershell-7.3

@roboneko @theorytoe @dcc You don't need special software to access a text board, HTTP is very straightforward — everyone has curl, damn, in worst case you can even do shit with telnet.
To access IRC you have to use what, your grandma's computer that still has Xchat installed? 🤪

Ага, типа их заклинаний «Рубль сильно недооценён»: на бумаге за рубль должны давать в три раза больше, а на деле скоро уже будут бить про наглой рыжей морде 🤣
Особенно смешно смотрится на фоне их камланий с ключевой ставкой — машина пошла вразнос, рычаги ещё можно дёргать, но уже непонятно что из этого получится.

OS is only half of the problem and not the greater one — yeah, it's ugly alright, but that is hardly an obstacle for hacking 😅
I mean, of course, things like disabling the ME were also done through reverse engineering, but what they do with Asahi on Apple Silicon is a whole other level — you can't rely on that.

Luke Harding's book "Mafia State" gave me an amazing insight on what's it like to be a foreign journalist who isn't welcome.
