@theorytoe When I've been stealing Marset off RDrama, I did it all in shell 😅
Including conversion of WebP ones to PNG in they weren't animated and to GIF if they were. I hate that Google bullshit!
Now I can't even open the emoji management page in Perlonomer admin web interface because the pack is too big — for the machine my instance is running on probably, it's not much bigger than the WebP version was.
And they work just fine despite that 🤷

@fba Hate's 🍑 har🍑ment
@asahi7
I think it's pretty bad. Don't get me wrong, I have an app on my phone called SmardEdge that displays cover art of album playing that can be extended to a larger player, it looks a lot like iPhone's cutout, but it's tiny compared to what I see in the OP photo. I didn't realize it was this big, it's HUGE!
Mine is also semi-transparent, I can in fact see beneath it and I have explicitly disabled reserving this space, other apps can actually use it.

@Ukulele19
What if we bring all of them close to each other and form a Unified One & Only Armadillo Ball (UO&OAB) how big would it be? 😲
Maybe we can just abandon Earth and move to the Armadillo Ball? 🤔
@lowqualityfacts
@a1ba The fuck is that? Is that the way camera cutout looks on the device itself? This is REALLY bad! 🤯
@Nishi Don't they have a second browser pre-installed now that is based on recent WebKit and that kinda works? 🤔
@sun_eater
@a
So it works, nice to know! I wasn't so sure.

Sure, URLs have a standardized way to specify the port, but IDs aren't URLs — if I try to look up your ID from my instance, it still connects to known hard-coded ports, if I put a non-standard port into the ID, would Pleroma (or other software) know what to do with it? I think not 🤷
@xianc78 @gabriel @Moon @realcaseyrollins
@Moon
I don't think that it's against the spec though, most servers I've seen can run on any port and in any case, you can redirect, but a lot of client don't support that, it means that people often don't even think about this stuff 😩
@xianc78 @gabriel @a @realcaseyrollins
@Moon
Sure, but still, in theory, how would servers communicate if we don't have domain names, would we have IDs like @ name@195.34.88.21:32742?
Would that even work? I'm not knowledgeable enough about ActivityPub, can't tell 🤔
@xianc78 @gabriel @a @realcaseyrollins
@gabriel
A lot of Gemini browsers don't support non-standard ports. And this is our geeky decentralized shit — the rest is probably even worse 🤷
@realcaseyrollins @Moon @a @xianc78
@gabriel Good point! Probably won't work so well with things we have now. I'm not sure if it would be possible to run a Fedi instance on non-web port with any software we have today — they guess how to get to the instance the user came from by the domain name. You can probaby put the port name in the .well-known hosted at standard web port, but I'm not sure how that would work.
@realcaseyrollins @Moon @a @xianc78
@xianc78 What about vhosts? One IP-address can host a plethora of things and the only way to tell them apart if the domain name they use 🤷
@Moon @gabriel @a @realcaseyrollins
@Bead I would never do that to my cats, but I know for sure they'd like it 😸
@skylar And s-expressions — by another cat finishing the soup after the first one when only parentheses were left 😹
@theorytoe
@theorytoe No, they are different, XHTML however is XML-comliant.
@bleedingphoenix
@futzle Probably Amy Wong from Planet Express — very annoying, block her 😄
@splitshockvirus
> something really disgusting
Don't install Windows please, stop it! We can talk this through 🤪
@threat Ha-ha-ha-ha! I like your style! 👍

Just in case: DMs/PMs simply don't exist on this instance as concept — don't use them, use the other instance if you absolutely have to, or send an email to any address at m0xEE.Net or .Com or .Org, but I prefer keep most communication public.
