@ringo How most people perceive these things is different I think. In US most would still be: "WTF, man?! This is sick!!!"— in Russia most are like: "M-m-mkay".
There was a nice case when some journo was trying to figure out how much Russian Tik-Tok "influencers" would charge for some political shit and he gave them the assignment to convince people that taking deer blood baths (there were rumours Shoigu and Putin were doing this) is normal practice and all of them accepted 😂

Yeah, that's true, maybe I'm not claustrophobic — I usually don't have problems with rooms without windows if that air intake is okay, but everyone's different.
I mean, when you're on a toilet seat and power goes out in the entire block or the lightbulb dies out — that is indeed scary, but motion detector — I don't have a problem with that 🤷

@inhosin Когда работал, делал это довольно часто — но чаще всего поздно вечером из дома, но иногда и по воскресеньям. Всё компенсировалось тем, что я в самом офисе мог неделями ничего не делать — полезного с смысле, все ритуалы конечно соблюдались.
Всё это — крайне порочная практика, приводит к неверным ожиданиям, что и тебе в ответ на эти переработки что-то должны — то есть совершенно нездоровым отношениям с работодателем.

@thatguyoverthere As for avoiding YouTube in general — I completely agree, even when there were no privacy-oriented platforms, there was Vimeo and I think more people should've used that. YouTube just happened at the right time, Google themselves failed to build a competing platform with GoogleVideo and had to go for acquisition until it was too late.
Among other things, YouTube has the largest user base and offers free promotion just for being there, a lot of people like it 🤷

Whoah, I've found a way to workaround the problem with wireless adapter, and I don't even have to reassign IRQs, looks like it shares it with video adapter and all to takes is "xset dpms force off" to turn the display off so it can associate with the network, after that it works fairly consistently. I did notice earlier that it often succeeds when left alone for extended periods of time — so that is why 😂
Well, I have another nice old machine at my disposal. Too many of them TBH 🤪
