Technically, yes — you do get drunk faster that way, but I can't imagine drinking whiskey or tequila directly from the bottle. Works just fine with vodka, but I rarely do that 🥴

It was a Plextor SSD that got fried in less than half a year and it was in a laptop that I had been turning on only on weekends once a month — definitely a manufacturing defect. Easily got my money back, but I think SMART had been showing it was failing that time 🤔
Fun part: SSDs got cheaper when that happened and I got a server-grade Micron SSD which I still use today with that money 🤭

I am using btrfs on SSD in my laptop and it's rock solid for me, but I've never used any of the advanced features.

Yes, most probably this is what they've had in mind.
Backgrounds of old icons would certainly also benefit from higher resolution, but there was an internal competition between design teams at the time: one was for skeuomorphism, and the one led by Jony Ive was for "flat" design. The latter won so they've just got rid of old design 😢

Apple made an awful lot of bad design decisions at that time, but THIS… was just a giant leap to making it visually unbearable to me. They somehow simplified everything by making it flat, but added tons of tiny details at the same time — just look at the notches on Safari compass or cog of the Settings app! It's an eyesore! 😵‍💫

@PublicLewdness OpenRazer is awesome! Chroma lighting was 10 times more useful when I used my Blackwidow and Deathadder with my ThinkPad running Void than it ever was with Windows. Easily scriptable using Python module for stuff like notifications. Even making your keyboard and mouse light up red when screen is locked and green when it's unlocked looks cool!
