If you live in a country like Russia or China, ISP is the least trustworthy entity. VPN company is at least in some developed country's jurisdiction and has zero obvious incentive to do DPI of all your traffic and report your actions directly to the KGB. They might not even know who you are. I can't say for Nord as I hate them, but for other reasons. With Proton you can pay in cash or these Beethoven thingies.
VPNs are still good in certain cases.

The cat I've had before these ones had really good genes. He was born after an outdoor cat got into my apartment by jumping between windowsills (!) and impregnated my cat, who was also from the streets. She looked like some wild cat — really thick fur and she could seemingly jump anywhere in a single leap. As you can see, both his parents were really agile and their child was a good hunter even when he was twenty years old, good at both, games and catching insects.

@thor Mine are plain horrible at it, they are like the biggest klutzes of the animal kingdom. They don't have tails so they are really bad at jumping too. What keeps them from wreaking complete havoc and pushing everything to the ground is that they lose interest in these insects pretty soon 😹

Blocking everyone individually doesn't work, they can create new accounts and go on — and we know that using phone verification is bad practice,what would you do?
