@ChillVibeFans@mstdn.social Nyaaarrr! 😹

@antichrist_hater
Some might even remember VRML: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VRML
I bet that's not the point here though.

There were implementations even before that. Even MSN had chat rooms in which you could walk around, demonstrate some gestures, write on the walls, etc Back in 1996!
@coolboymew

@Sh4d0w_H34rt
Exactly! Had Apple added a warning like "Please rotate your phone" to the camera app, this wouldn't have happened. Social media websites have nothing to do with this.
@Gargron

@tomxcd@fedi.nullob.si What a massacre! 😱

@neglesaks@mstdn.io
It was kinda inconsistent since the inception of Mac OS X: some apps had the brushed aluminium texture, some didn't, some had it more prominent like Disk Utility. It SEEMED really consistent though, just worked™
But when they added this transparency… I don't know, it might have looked good on a laptop screen: colorful, adds some texture, etc. But I was using a system with two 30" Cinema Displays and I was like: "What is this shit? My eyes hurt!"
@Azure @volpeon

@ritualdust Make sure other sections don't get flooded 😆
@neauoire

@thor Some aren't. One of my cats just sits still if you are taking a picture. He's like a natural born photo model!
The other one is a menace to good photos, she can't even look in some direction if you click fingers for her — she usually looks at what is making that sound, but not when you are making photos 😹

@neglesaks@mstdn.io IMO The UI started rolling downhill since 10.5, that is debatable, but with this transparency thing in 10.10 they did an outstandingly bad job. I no longer use Apple products, maybe since then, but I was pretty sure they've fixed some of it. Looks like I was wrong 😅
@Azure @volpeon

Это точно нейронная сеть составляет? Слишком уж осмысленно 😹

@iska@mk.starnix.network You called me retarded once for not getting what you've meant while being ambiguous as fuck, so that is not your line 😂
As for C, it does have a few weird spots e.g. how there are no arrays and how those are in fact pointer arithmetic, but it's not half that bad. Read the K&R book, you'll feel the language better.
@dem32@mstdn.starnix.network

@ZySoua Иногда даже лучше справляется 😂
Думали сломить его, запретив пользоваться средствами связи, но не тут-то было!
@Rezard

@Froggo I think they've only used the hardware. There were distros targeted specifically at PowerPC like YellowDog linux and as far as I remember PS3 ran it. Not sure about the Xbox, probably no — it had much more DRM. If you wanted to use cloned DVD disks of games and not the originals, you had to take the optical drive out and update its firmware 🤪
@tomxcd@fedi.nullob.si

@tomxcd@fedi.nullob.si PS3 was much more powerful in terms of raw computing power So powerful, many considered cryptographic algorithms available at the time done for. It also was more cost effective, I think.
Both PS3 and Xbox360 had PowerPC architecture, it's sad that both went the Intel route afterwards. AMD in fact, but it is still Intel arch.

Не хотят конкуренции.

Когда привык всё делать сам.

@drazraeltod Especially the charging!
I have a USB-C cable that came with Microsoft phone, it's not cheap looking and it is a fine cable all around, but it can't fast charge my phone, unlike the cable that came with it. The wall charger is the same, the length is approximately the same, but it does not work 🤬
