@wildgoose Probably true!
When I cook I rarely use salt that is abundant in store food, maybe some soy sauce if I want something like that. But the meals in the original post are meant to be stored for at least a week, definitely have some preservatives in them. Still look good and are a far shot from junk food.
@thor
@thor Yeah, true.
I am single and don't have children, but I enjoy cooking and avoid instant meals. The worst thing I can have is pelmeni — the kind of dumplings popular in Russia. I always keep a pack in the freezer. If I didn't plan beforehand and don't feel like cooking something proper, I can always put those in boiling water. Boil them for five more minutes and you have something to eat. It's still considered unhealthy food and I don't do that often.
@thor Nah, didn't have any of those in a long time untill last week when me and a couple of friends went to the country. I like cooking, but in that case it involved washing all the dishes and kitchenware thoroughly as it wasn't used in a long time, cleaning the refrigerator, going to the store to get the ingredients, etc…
And we had a few of packs of instant noodles just lying around in the kitchen. We decided to have those after the long trip before taking the longer route. Why not?
@thor Looks too healthy for instant meals TBH 😂
I mean, yes, there is stuff like that too, but what I usually have in mind is something super-junk, like plain noodles with powdered spices that you pour boiling water into 😅
@phocks They have several accessories from that era with desight that is… questionable to say the least. Look at this battery case for example. This bump at the center looks disgusting!
First version of Magic Mouse was perfect and then this…
I have Apple charger and a set of batteries that still hold the charge. What was wrong with using AA batteries? 🤔

> configure PipeWire and PulseAudio
I shudder at the though of doing this. Everyone hates systemd, but what I hate is PulseAudio 😅
I went to the country with my friends for several days and we used my laptop to watch some videos. It's tiny so its speaker is not loud enough for more than two people to hear. They've asked me if we could just use the Bluetooth speaker and I told them to forget about it without even trying. Because I know it involves Pulse. I'm just… scared of it 😱
@theDoctor@fosstodon.org Let me translate this for you: "When I was using dating apps I asked the candidates to rate their meticulousness on a scale 0 to 10 and went out with the ones who asked if the scale was discrete or continuous".
I think you'd most definitely score 😂@somegirlprivacy@fosstodon.org
@thor One of my cats always tries to catch toys not the way cats usually do it — by pushing them down against the ground, but like he actually has fingers on his front paws. He's a smart little fella, but that is weird for a cat 😹

To me it looks like "T.", I assumed you've meant tea so the caffeine talk kind of makes sense 😅 @Pixificial
@iska@mk.starnix.network This is actually a good idea! Apple hardware is usually well supported. Even Macs from two decades ago play nicely with modern Linux kernels.
@thor
@Jessica
Not necessarily. Apple has a really poor history of providing long term support for high-end models, e.g. latest Power Mac G5 was introduced in late 2005, but Mac OS X 10.6 released in mid 2009 had no PowerPC support at all.
They do this quite often, they support lower end MB Air models for years, but just ditch higher end MacBook Pros 🤷
@thor
@Pixificial
Yup, there is herbal tea and decaffeinated tea that tastes like regular black tea, but has negligible amount of caffeine. Lemongrass is nice too.
