@dem32@mstdn.starnix.network Wow, you actually plan stuff like this!
With WhatsApp MS did a good thing to me for once by announcing end of support for W10M, Facebook decided to end WhatsApp support even earlier, so for me it was like:
— Send me this via WhatsApp
— I can't, my phone doesn't have it
— Why don't you get a new phone?
— To send you stupid cat photos? 🤷
It was easier with Matrix: "No, I can't use Telegram, I don't want to go Lubyanka's cellar — just use this green thing instead" 😅

I've lost twice this year 😩
My former registrar had good prices, then they've suddenly charged more this year. Turns out "good prices" were a bug and I was getting discount for 3 consecutive years. The fact that they've did that without any notice pissed me off so I went to Puff Daddy.
And then they announce that Visa will stop working for cards emitted by Russian banks in a week. Had to act fast and paid for 2 years in advance.
Not Puff Daddy's fault, but I still lost.

> And it looks good doing that, built on top of Electron and React. It aims to be fast, private, beautiful, extensible and functional.
And this is when Midori failed as a browser, I think. Sad. I really liked it when it was WebKit-based 😩
> It aims to be fast
> built on top of Electron and React.
This sound exactly like "Claims to be Pro-Life, Dies Anyways" to me 🤣

> Easy to slide along the very top edge of your screen.
Wow, now it actually makes sense 😮
On my workstation I have 2x30" displays, fullscreen browser window is a waste of space: all the content gets centered and the sides are empty. So it's a normal floating window, top of the window ≠ top of the screen in this case.
On my laptop I have a small screen, but sway bar is on top, so again I've got to aim to click on a tab.
It never even occured to me they had this in mind 😅

@james@mstdn.starnix.network Workspaces are not the same as tags, but Sway is still awesome!
(pun intended 🤣)
@straw
@Gina I couldn't remember my Twitch password, but I've watched most of your stream. It was hilarious how you did your best to avoid these rat creatures 😂
@safiuddinkhan@fosstodon.org Oh this reminds me of how they got a ton of raw materials off Ali (B2B marketplace, not the retail one) for one of the Russian "COVID vaccines" — the one that had zero efficacy. I'm not kidding, you can look it up, EpiVacCorona was its name 😂
I don't think the materials were the problem though, it was a hoax from the get go.

@mhd I think they've wanted Chrome to be a platform for web apps so they've got rid of most the UI. Firefox was a real browser though, I don't know why the did the same 🤷
They've removed the SSB parts entirely last year, but the stupid UI remained.
It's still fixable with userChrome.css, my FF has tabs below the address bar and has a visible titlebar — looks way better!

@safiuddinkhan@fosstodon.org That is debatable, but I think overlapping windows were a bad idea. Even MS is adding window management features from tiled WMs, first they've made pinning windows to sides/corners easy and in Windows 11 if you float cursor above maximize button it offers you layouts much like the ones we have in tiled WMs.

Just in case: DMs/PMs simply don't exist on this instance as concept — don't use them, use the other instance if you absolutely have to, or send an email to any address at m0xEE.Net or .Com or .Org, but I prefer keep most communication public.
