when your sitting position says "i'm chill" but your eyes say "i'm about to do something completely ridiculous"
@yurnidiot
Bonus points for the stealth technique — blending in with the environment is truly superb 😹

One of the major (and valid) points of criticism of Rust is that std relies on libc, e.g. here: https://jeang3nie.codeberg.page/rust-criticism-from-rustacean/
There is demand for a libc-less implementation — that is, I believe what Redox does.
But supporting a wide range of architectures requires tremendous effort, Redox doesn't currently support many architectures so it's easier to work with. And in any case, it's still impressive!

I've found Thunderbird to be honoring LC_ environment variables even on musl systems where it's otherwise meaningless.
You can even have things like LANG=en_US.UTF-8 , but LC_DATE=en_GB.UTF-8 to have US locale, but dates in "more straightforward" (😏) format — I believe that's what I have on most of my systems, but you can try the opposite of it: British locale, but US date format.
Oh, yes and LC_TIME=en_GB.UTF-8 to not have AM/PM of course!
@kirby
Don't beat yourself over it! When I was younger, I used to thing that everyone who's e.g. into cryptography understands all this stuff perfectly — like they are thinking formulaes. But no, it's not that in the slightest — most are as dumb as most of the rest, even those who have studied it in the Uni or are working in this area — their professional sphere might be more interesting than most, but the people are mostly the same as everywhere.
New #RustLang Foundation grant application period just opened: https://foundation.rust-lang.org/grants/fellowships/

@Hyolobrika
No I won't be eating the flesh of those on Google's board of directors, thank you!
And no, I do not consider them humans, therefore it won't be cannibalism, but I still expect them to be inedible, poisonous probably 😖
@swaggboi
Yep, and it's quite useful! Booting the system from a filesystem completely out of free space would be really problematic were it not for this quota. Although I suspect 2% on really big partitions to be quite a waste, anyway, you can set it to a reasonable number with tune2fs.
@romin
Relatively small group that has taken control over the state and presents its own narrow interests as the people's 😏
@kravietz
I've been expecting exactly that, but not THAT soon 🤣
@skylar
about:config → javascript.enabled = false 😈
@romin @kirby
I'm actually still using 2.6.31 on and old ARM machine that acts as a proxy and OpenVPN box.
Its age starts to show though, the lack of recvmmsg for example prevents wireguard-go from working properly. I have an implementation, but I have no idea how to insert a polyfill for a syscall into Go standard library.
@kirby
I suggest downgrading the Linux kernel to the same version 😝
@kirby @FUCKINGWHOCARESDUDE @phnt
Put a script restarting Pomerla in cron.hourly 😈

Just in case: DMs/PMs simply don't exist on this instance as concept — don't use them, use the other instance if you absolutely have to, or send an email to any address at m0xEE.Net or .Com or .Org, but I prefer keep most communication public.
