I'm becoming less and less convinced that Russell T. Davies is going to solve all the problems in the #DoctorWho franchise.
@kravietz
This reminds me, they have a term for planes in particular: «совершил жёсткую посадку» (literally "made a hard landing") — the term does exist, but when it's used in Russian news it might mean literally anything, including that the plane has crashed and no one of the crew survived 🤦
@amiserabilist
A better world?
There is this certain idiom here: https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/better_place 😏
Is that it? Well, maybe "we're so fucked" isn't so bad after all 😅
@kravietz
This is probably a five year or so old tradition of state-owned outlets in Russia — to downplay disasters happening domestically and exaggerating when it happened abroad. When it's in Great Britain for example, it's fire even if that was put out in 15 minutes, but when it's in Russia it's "smoke suddenly breaking out" even if half of some village is gone with it 😅
Nothing less could be expected when it's something war-related.
@sparge Gosh! Your cats are so lovely! 😻
This is Hudson.
We went out of town recently and some friends came by each day for cat care. We wanted to make sure that no one shooed the boys off of their favorite kitchen counter, so we left a note.
(Honestly, we left way too many notes. But I can't help it. I get so anxious about leaving them!)
@kevinrothrock
I don't know why they don't utilize the same approach to stop the war, to me the whole chain of command looks so corrupt that you could buy them whole for much less than gets spent on military equipment for Ukraine 🤔
@bigtuffal
What exactly? 🤔
@gray
Either it's a joke or his wording is horrible — I find it hard to believe that if you ask him frankly: "Would you rather spend these five hours glued to the screens of your phones",— he would respond with: "Yeah, sure!"
Either that or I'm still not disappointed in humanity enough 😂
@czerv
Indeed! 🐌
🇬🇧 🇷🇺 The United Kingdom is offering British passports to Russian officials in exchange for intelligence information, the British newspaper i reported Friday, citing three anonymous U.K. intelligence sources and one former Russian informant.
@rvps2001
Hmmm… Maybe it's still worth getting a job in Russia first before moving abroad 🤭
@sneexy i was thinking "okay this is really funny" until i realised this is just Mozilla Firefox

Just in case: DMs/PMs simply don't exist on this instance as concept — don't use them, use the other instance if you absolutely have to, or send an email to any address at m0xEE.Net or .Com or .Org, but I prefer keep most communication public.
