Ah, fine. I thought it was something like this en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Feline_v
Both of my cats went through it. It's not too dangerous, just takes patience to treat. The smaller one took it especially hard, when we took her in she had runny nose and eyes and could barely breathe, but now she's a healthy girl.
I'm glad that your cats are in good health!

Office romance of the work from home era. There had to be something to replace it! No way around it, sorry 😂

@kevinrothrock
For me the main question is: why would they even do that? Are they even still represented in Russian Federation legally? 🤔

@iska
Your emoji reactions won't sway me! On Mastodon everything is a star! 😁

@iska You better not! It's the work of the Devil! Some of it was written by Alyssa Rozenkrantz and her computer-person accomplice. Some of them are Canadian and have square heads — some probably more than one. Anyway… Dangerous! ☢️

@safiuddinkhan
Nice! 😻
What's with the eyes of one of them, some sort of infection? 🤔

@thor
Nah, it's probably that. Now that I think about it, it's not that bad😄

@thor I know! But apparently they don't 🤣
The best I can come up with is Ariel in cereal - still not as good as the elf line 😋

No, we didn't drink any vodka! We just… you know, got tired. Yep — tired 😼

Then again, people fleeing the country — a lot of the ones who left are highly qualified specialists, migrants can replace unqualified workers, but they can't replace those who have left. This is of course reported as a huge economic success as unemployment rates are record low, but in fact it's a ticking time bomb.
Here is a good insight on what's happening economy-wise: theins.ru/en/opinion/igor-lips

Sanctions do work, but not the way some expected them to. Some experts are mislead by GDP growing, but it's just a bad benchmark for the type of economy in which the state buys military equipment from state-owned companies and itself sets the prices.
Not a collapse and hardly enough to stop the war, but it was a serious blow. On top of that most Russians don't like to admit that their life got worse — this makes it look like sanctions didn't make a dent, but they did.

@martinvermeer
Oh, that one for sure! I think there might be others.
This guy: dw.com/en/putin-associate-open is a former prominent Putin's official, I think he still lives and works in Germany and I don't think that this think tank is there for actual research 😏
Of course I don't have definitive proof, but there are good reasons to believe that German political establishment is deeply penetrated. Even AfD, who support Russia in the open, aside — I'm not sure even about others.

@Doreen32128
People have started questioning the war long ago, not many dare do it openly. This is about confiscating property of those who have left — this is supposed to prevent people from leaving.
Some expect a full mobilization after the elections in March — last time it made many flee the country and this time it's expected to be way worse than before.
This looks like countermeasures taken in advance.

Don't get me wrong though, I do realize that a lot of help comes from Germany and I think Ukrainians do appreciate it, but in terms of leadership: making decisions and delivering on them — nah, Germany doesn't look cut out for it, Poland an UK show a lot more resolve, but I'm not sure Poland is up to it and UK has a lot of problems on their own and they aren't a part of EU anymore.

@rvps2001

@martinvermeer
I think it's best to look elsewhere then 😅
Germany has been attempting to weather this conflic well since 2015 and it only turned into catastrophe since then. I'm Russian and to me German political establishment looks like this: some support Russia outright, others don't — but they are all talk. Probably not far from truth — Russia corrupts anything it touches and considering former tight economic connections a lot of German politicians might be compromized.

@rvps2001

Something's wrong with my electric kettle — it's like relay got short circuited and it keeps boiling water even when it should be off.
Because of it the logic that makes it heat the water gradually is also defeated and it just starts spewing boiling water all over the kitchen 😰
Luckily, no animals were harmed, but it looked scary!
