Yeah, it was always like that and to me it came as no surprise, but hope that it becomes a wake up call for some Russians in the perception of their own history. If WW2 is mostly perceived as something not pretty, for example 1812 war to most is about officers in pretty uniforms reading poetry to the crust of french bread, while in fact it most probably was way worse than now — crowds of uneducated men, often barefoot and lousy, thrown into battle by hundreds with no regard for losses
@VikingChieftain
He was clearly ahead of his time! To the point of falling out of line, and eventually even out of the sky 😅

> Russians are clearly trying to preserve their vehicles, which are likely in shortage — the same cannot be said about their human resources who are thrown into the battle field without mercy
Sadly, nothing new here indeed 😩
If human life had any value, this war wouldn't have even started.
What's was surprising to me is that qualified personnel like pilots, are treated the exact same way and some prefer to perish attempting to save the aircraft, it's beyond cynical — just irrational.
@lukito
I'd probably not only take a photo, but actually buy that thing and put it some where high on the wall, it's so cool! 😀
@mjdxp True! I even call it WebPee 😅
@mjdxp But they told me more that one hundred per cent is impossible! 😏
@gabriel
You can thank Google for that, they go great lengths pushing WebP and hindering JPEG XL's adoption: https://www.theregister.com/2022/10/31/jpeg_xl_axed_chrome/
As most modern browsers are based on Chromium and Blink, the outcome of it is obvious.
They also seem to have great influence over Mozilla, as they have made support for WebP not optional like it was before: https://breloma.m0xee.net/notice/AclXgvk5sDRNX7rr5E
I quite literally had to patch the option to turn it off back in.

Nanami Madobe is the best mascot ever. I've never even been a Windows 7 user and I still like her 😍

Your comment is of course funny, but Trump aside, I think that it might actually be true. Immigrants themselves know exactly what they ran away from, unlike their kids, who might not appreciate the peaceful and quiet life their parents seem to enjoy so much, they are more likely to hold radical political views, which makes them great recruitment material for all sorts of troublemakers.

True, I never did.
I think I haven't play a game in like five years, except from occasional running through a couple of Quake levels when bored, but I do it almost without thinking 😄

Yeah, I've been thinking about that. To me Japanese doesn't look expressive enough for you to be rude without being wordy. I mean you can probably tell apart not caring about you from outright hating, but not the finer grades. Probably why manga is popular, so violence can be… violent without becoming a whole page of text.
So all interactions are more "distant" than in "rude" languages.
Just my impression of language I barely understand, I might be wrong.
@theorytoe @not_benis
@theorytoe
What cultures are not rude, have their own languages and are represented on Fedi? 🤔
@not_benis @splitshockvirus
None
Just in case: DMs/PMs simply don't exist on this instance as concept — don't use them, use the other instance if you absolutely have to, or send an email to any address at m0xEE.Net or .Com or .Org, but I prefer keep most communication public.
