It IS supported, F-droid app just needs a helper service for privilege escalation to do it, check this out: https://f-droid.org/en/packages/org.fdroid.fdroid.privileged.ota/
I'm currently using other app with F-droid that requests privilege escalation from Magisk, but that helper service worked for me in the past, you have to install it to your system partition with something like TWRP and voila!

What is? It's just an alternative repo ("store") for opensource apps — stock app is not the only way to access it, here is the app I use: https://f-droid.org/en/packages/com.machiav3lli.fdroid/
Works just fine on Android 12.1
Most apps have lower minimum API level on purpose so that users of older releases of Android can use them too, it has nothing to do with being insecure or based on old code, modern versions of Android are backward compatible with older APIs.

@mjdxp I think you can't tell who they grow up to be, it's not even non-conformism, they just behave in a way that provokes people, "trolling". I remember when they were posting these colored horses to piss others off, and I'm pretty sure it was all the same to them. They amount of this is proportional to emotional reactions they can get. I mean someone should probably tell them why racism is not a good thing to joke about, but not in the form of yelling at cloud online 🤷

@kirby I'm not an expert on Erlang or Elixir, but take a look in _build/prod/lib (or maybe dev in your case), those .beam files look like precompiled bytecode that is executed in beam VM, so not everything gets rebuilt everytime it does reuse previously compiled bytecode.

@kirby For me it's only the files that I have modified, I can usually see them being rebuilt in the logs.
It does take a couple of mins to restart though, but I've always thought it's because I'm running it on an old MacMini 😂

I'd do this myself, but I'm not even sure who to talk to, but this filter obviously doesn't work as expected. And I did fix it for my instance, but it's not a proper fix, it should also be fixed in Dedupe too, or the docs should mention that they are only supposed to be used together 🤷
