I wonder If it's possible to make anything work. I've though about getting this phone as I could use the Matrix client someone was developing at the time with GerdaOS. I was strongly against getting an Android phone. In the end that guy gave up on the project and even E2EE never worked and I ended up getting an Android phone that could also run UbuntuTouch and Sailfish — turned out not that bad, but I'm still thinking of something else 😅

If you want to use ProtonMail with your usual IMAP/SMTP client and don't want to get a paid account from the get go (ProtonMail Bridge, the software that facilitates this works on paid accounts only), check out hydroxide — it's unofficial, but should work for free accounts too, it uses the same API the web client does.

@safiuddinkhan Just sync your One Drive over TOR once and they make you choose your password and they are not letting you keep your old one 😩
(In fact they do, but you have to change it to six other ones, then back to the original 😈)
And they reset the "app password s" (the ones that get used without OTP) too, so you have to change that in your fetchmail's, the one that downloads your outlook.com mail and keeps it just in case, config too 😫

Flagship devices became totally unattractive to me as the only thing they have that is undisputably better than in midrange devices is the camera — the thing I need the least in my phone. Now I'm on midrange phone that has 8 Gb RAM, 256 Gb of UFS 3.1 storage + SD card slot, SoC that is still so powerful that I never use it, 5000 mAh battery and a 🎧 jack — zero incentive to upgrade. Camera is meh, but I don't care 🤷
