Очень часто это как раз люди из других регионов и их привозят в крупные города на зарплаты, которых они у себя отродясь не видели — одна из тех самых стародавних «скреп», мне кажется, чисто российское изобретение — проклятие огромной территории, как и «губернаторы», которые в этом регионе не родились и вообще к нему отношения не имели до назначения.

Probably some "cloud" printing from your phone — you can setup cups to have the same with ipp+avahi/bonjour/zeroconf, but few care enough to do this, it still has limited printing options and you have to be on the same network.

@publius This one dual boots XP too, I can't get some things to work properly in Linux on it. Wireless is a bit flaky, but looks like I've found a workaround for it:

I also have a PCMCIA GPRS-modem in it and I can't get it to work, the serial port just gives me some garbage. It works perfectly in Windows. Now I think, maybe it's the same problem — IRQ conflict 🤔

@threat I only keep stuff that was hard to find in the first place and some shows I rewatch often, I see no point in keeping stuff you can download any day in less than an hour. But I have to admit, I still have a few of hard drives in my makeshift file servers that are several terabyte large and I have four 4 Tb HDDs in my workstation — but that is just two mirrored arrays 😅
I can of course always use more space, but TBH I rarely run out of free space nowadays, 7x18Tb is probably to much 😂
