@thor Battery in my Unibody MBP swelled, but then not only returned to its normal size, but it still has like 76% of its original capacity, despite its age 🤷
I had a battery swell once in a plastic MacBook, they were removable at the time — so that is what I did. When I got back to it a couple of days later it was back to it's normal size. If I didn't have a photo of it VERY noticeably deformed, I'd think that I've made that up.
I don't know how all this works 🤪

@penryu @evacide
> "I used to spend hours trying to get the image on the right page. Now I use org-mode LaTeX and just accept that it's impossible."
Yeah, that's the best part, really cracked me up 🤣

@dcc Is it a separate programming language? I've always thought of Elixir as of some framework, but I'm probably wrong about that.
Learning Erlang still makes sense — there aren't a lot of Erlang developer jobs out there, but they still pay generously for that.

@kirby

@mjdxp I don't get the Wayland hate at all, among all that systemd-pulseaudio stuff Wayland is the thing I hate the least, I even like it in a way. I'm an old time Linux user, but even I've been using X11 remotely like never — nice that is was there, but I won't miss it.
You don't seem like one of the types to hate it just for the sake of hating, give it another try, it should be possible to find a near identical replacement for any sw. And the scrolling is silk-smooth, no screen tearing.

@mjdxp For me the transition was smooth, there is a Wayland version of nearly everything, I've even disabled XWayland by now. The only thing I miss is surf-like browser.
Not that I have a lot of requirements — it's mostly terminals as most software I use is TUI, Alacritty fills the spot. Firefox works without a hitch, so does other GTK software, SDL apps too. The only thing that doesn't is GIMP as Void has a really old "stable" version of it, but I don't use it often and I have other computers.

@safiuddinkhan Did original Wolfenstein have these nice blood splashes on walls?
Blake Stone had both, dynamic lighting and some decals, like bullet marks, but not wolf3d 🤔

@dcc @theorytoe No, that's stocks trading, that's different. Or is it? 🤭

@theorytoe @dcc Is there any difference? "I'm feeling really republican today, should probably take things easier"

@gabriel @boyter And all other software would run in its own containerized instance of an OS… Wait, we already have that 😩

@vriska Should also burn the house down to get rid of the body.
When some dead gf is mentioned, it's always this album for me. Explores the theme pretty well, I don't think that there is anything to add really.

@mo Так сословное общество же! Что дозволено Юпитеру, не дозволено быку 😄
@neural_meduza

@jeffcliff
Sure, they should've switched to their own Forgejo instance already, but this was what, like 2013? 🤔

@suchipi

@neural_meduza
Мистер Сидр? В рамках борьбы с бедностью? 😱

@SuperDicq
I don't want to get Ion-Biebered, but I still don't want to own a house that looks like this 😅

@SuperDicq How many are too many?
I have a few frog plushies. More than five. But probably less than a dozen 🤨

@SuperDicq @Relected
Sure, I was just kidding anyway, I'm not THAT paranoid.
It's still a matter of trust though, or did you check that libreboot indeed makes ME in your computer dormant yourself? 😄

@SuperDicq @Relected
I wonder if my 2008 Mac Pro with dual Xeon has management engine? 🤔
It was originally a Xeon-only thing, right?
