It's OSS Weather, Arcticons didn't have an icon for it — I could easily replace it with another one of course but I thought, it being the only colored icon adds a nice touch 😄
Yes, labels look redundant, I don't have a lot of apps installed and I don't install new ones often, the ones I have are pleced in easy to remember order. If I want to find an app by name I use search anyway so why bother with labels?

@Binkle
Is it really mechanical? Does it have chroma lighting and 144 Hz rolling rate? 😆
@theorytoe
@marioguzman They've made an awful lot of bad design decisions since then, e.g. making Finder sidebar icons monochrome. Why did they do that, what was wrong with color coding? It was so much easier to navigate when the icons were colorful 🤷

I have a Samsung smart TV, but I never accepted that license agreement that I have to in order to install apps or use the voice assistant, I'm not logged into any services on it. It's networked though, has a nice built-in DLNA capability so I can watch movies from my file server, I can also hook external USB drive into it or my laptop using HDMI cable. Works for me 🤷

I'm not a hardcore vynil fan myself, I'm more of a CD type, but I still thought this would happen. I grew up when all three: vynils, CDs and cassettes, were in use, then MP3s appeared and I knew this will take over and vynils will stay as most aesthetically pleasing. Still prefer the CDs as you don't have to turn them over that often 🤣
Good point though! I think streaming is the worst in this regard, no toxic materials, but transmission needs more power.
@cyuu We used to call it post-rock, and they don't really suck at it, there definitely were worse bands 😹

> Vinyl records outsell CDs for first time in decades
Some didn't believe we would live to see this. I did!

@RustyCrab I'm using smart parsing techniques to filter out links to reddit 😁

@neural_meduza Если представить, что с каждым годом будет становиться всё «веселее и веселее», их можно понять.
@safiuddinkhan But can it run Doom? 🤔
Well, yeah. It most definitely can! 😂
@neural_meduza Оттепель ][. Как же сейчас не хватает таких новостей! 😩
@neural_meduza Оттепель! 😅
Хотя по погоде и не скажешь.
@futzle My cats love these! I have three CD players stacked on top of each other and when I open them using their remotes the cats sit and watch 😹
@Rezard А вот когда войдёшь в режим — уже наоборот, отдых устроить сложно 😄

No, I got it. And I don't have favorites in this one, We is an interesting read indeed, but a bit bland to my taste as fiction — still a significant work in the sci-fi dystopia genre. And I don't consider 1984 Orwell's best work either, I like his first one, Down and Out in Paris and London, the most 😅
I was just a little surprised, I've never heard him denying it.

> Later in his life Orwell admitted that he have been aware of "We" before writing "1984"
Did he ever deny it though? This is his review of it published in 1946, before 1984 was published, and even before it was finished, which was, I think, in 1948 — hence the name: https://www.orwellfoundation.com/the-orwell-foundation/orwell/essays-and-other-works/freedom-and-happiness-review-of-we-by-yevgeny-zamyatin/

I'm not sure how trustworthy Fox News' sources are, but it's definitely not the first time I stumble upon such rumours.

Just in case: DMs/PMs simply don't exist on this instance as concept — don't use them, use the other instance if you absolutely have to, or send an email to any address at m0xEE.Net or .Com or .Org, but I prefer keep most communication public.
