This is always the problem with neural networks — what you train them on.
I remember when Google had this CAPTCHA when you had to enter two words, one of the words was meaningful — it was checked against the expected result, the other one was used to train their OCR, which was later used to digitize books. And 4chan users trained it to recognize half the words as n-word 🤣

@IzzyOnDroid
TBH I do trust them more than Google and Facebook, probably because they are still struggling in the whole data-mining market.
Still not going to use anything based on Chromium though 😄
@aral

@neural_meduza А также в плесневости 🤔

@neural_meduza

@neural_meduza Во время экспериментов с телепортацией? Про это даже игру сделали 😁

@Parabrando Ого, да это же прямо как мой котик! Только я его за миллион не продам. Вот за семь… 😹

@diresock
Sure, being Russian I know a thing or two about that 😅
I agree. But calling it communism did look a bit like, you know, calling everything right wing nazi.
I think the joke's still okay — living in a commune to get away from communists is kinda funny.
@thor

@diresock
Fair! Hardly a communist thing though. Serfs and slaves weren't owning anything, yet no one calls that communism.
@thor

@diresock
What makes this "globohomo" communist though? 🤔
@thor

@thor Oh, BTW about the spinning fans. I remember you said you used wired connection, but here is what I was talking about. b43 is the wireless network adapter driver in my late 2011 MBP as you can see, it consumes 12% of one of the cores — it's not much, but this is only copying files from a computer plugged into router with 100MBpS connection, I think it can get higher during streaming — not too much, but if your CPU is already overtaxed, it might make a difference.

@thor It is! I make mine wear clothes — they are warmer this way and bug me less 😸

@neural_meduza А если что-то опровергают, значит это так и есть 🫢

@thor I have to post an obligatory OnlyFans joke, but I just can't come up with anything even remotely funny 😅

@KayEllen Actually I think they've presented this concept right after Razer showcased their own concept with three screens (which already looked a bit clunky).
So more of the same thing is exactly what they were aiming for 😂
@kzimmermann

@kzimmermann The news article about this laptop on some tech site (The Register?) had a very accurate phrase: it has seven times more screens than average laptop 🤣

@RL_Dane I don't dislike hamburger menus, both my Thunderbird and Firefox UIs are heavily modified by user stylesheets, but there is one thing that I use somewhat frequently in Firefox that you can't access in any other way but the menus — offline mode. Which is very useful when switching proxies. Because once one of the FF networking thread dies when you shut the proxy down there is no way to bring it back to life, you can only restart Firefox 🤪

@RL_Dane
> macOS doesn't have real resolution independence
Apple were going to implement it in 10.5! But the idea got buried under a pile of useless junk and looks like they gave up on it completely in the end😩
