Unfortunately opensource WebKit is nowhere near to being usable in terms of supported APIs.
MS could have done a good thing by opensourcing old Edge's engine even if they decided to go with their rebadged Chrome. It was still quite usable only a couple of years ago. It still is to a certain degree, I know because I don't have WebView2 installed — I'm not letting THAT touch any of my machines even the poor Windows ones 😅

@gemlog Well, yeah, I know that the US is not all roses and are likely to have money in that game, but look at the marvelous list of countries supporting the guy (from the Wikipedia article). If that's the alternative, then yeah, I'm all for "bending over" to the US. I'm in this camp right now and I don't like it here in the slightest 😅

Good point, but how exactly do I support Safari? I'm not going back to Apple hardware. I'm never going to use anything Chrom(ium)-based either. I'd probably just give up on web when FF dies out. TBH despite its dominance, web does look like a technological dead end to me, it's in way worse state than it was in the IE times.
There is embeddable webkit2gtk, but it is farther from "just working" than FF is. Browsers based on that can't even run web "apps" like Element or Skype.

@splitshockvirus No, I mean it's your choice. I'm not really against tattoos, but I'm not defending either. From personal experience, I'd probably agree with you, but I haven't seen any scientific paper on subject. That's not the point, I think rescheduling *twice* is a more "solid" red flag, which both pro- and anti-tattoo so to say people would agree on.
Anyway, it's probably for the good that you didn't get involved with such a person even if tattoo was the last drop for you 👍

@Bec In my school in Russia they just glued that lid so removing the ball was impossible. I'm not kidding you!
Of course it also made cleaning the mouse impossible, but who cares if the mouse becomes completely unusable in a week — at least kids can't have fun 😂

@thor Maybe it's time to start making your own synths using Max/MSP or PD? Start with just a sine wave and see where it can get you.
Of course, it can lead to making your own hardware synths, but I know, you've already been there in a way, so maybe you're safe 😅

И я не могу сказать, что у меня там всё как-то особенно плохо было — наверное как у всех, но мне даже не интересно что с этими людьми стало.
