@fcktheworld587 It always amazed me how the recommendation algorithms that "big tech" (surveillance) strive for makes you stick with your old ways. Come on, it has its uses, but it's not what people always want! 😩

@vga256 I do remember Photo Soap, but I don't think I've used it often. Such an UI, although not my cup of tea, was quite popular at the time, the game The Incredible Machine comes to mind — but probably not the best example. I'm pretty sure that it'll see some kind of revival 😁

@fatboy Great list!
I use ForgetMeNot for cookie management. I'd add Auto Tab Discard to the list — for those of us who like to keep a lot of tabs open, add-on makes sure only a few of them (6 in my case) remain active.
Decentraleyes already mentioned above is nice to have, LibRedirect or something similar — to automatically redirect to privacy-respecting alternatives. And of course Mozilla's own Multi-Account Containers — to keep cookies and site-data separate when you want them to be.

I'm no longer an Apple user I used to be, but I suppose little has changed: there are of course a few tricks to keep the laptop running even without tinkering with OS — closing the lid, then using connected USB device to wake it being the obvious one. Another aspect of it is cooling — of course you may leave it closed, but if your designated workload makes it run hot it's just safer to keep it open.

Yes, it's especially rare with comedy, you leave the end open so you can always pick off right where you left it. Not that I'm against it — it's always sad to let the beloved characters go, but that's what makes having an ending so beautiful.
Darker stuff does often happen to have a logical conclusion, but you always have a plot device or two up your sleeve so you can resurrect everyone. Shinbo even managed to pull that off with Madoka, he's a producer down to the bone 🤣

I don't remember GJ Bu too well, but I did like that too! It looks like a finished product, which is pretty rare.

Срочно вступаем в мемасное подполье 😂
Rise up!
@neural_meduza

@coolboymew
Oh! I knew there must be a reason I keep both, the BD rip and the TV one, and it must be it!
@anime

@anime
I enjoyed both! I didn't realize Aiura was popular, it is good! The episodes ARE short, but it's so grotesque and fun 😆
Another title worth mentioning and that is considered underrated by me is Kyo no Go no Ni — it's more like Ichigo Mashimarou and Minami-ke, but it's great!
@coolboymew

@Nyoelle Nothing motivates me like putting something on real hardware. I was reluctant to try Void, now almost every device in my home runs it. Had I used VM, I'd probably give up in a couple of days and get beck to my old ways.
But that's probably just me 😅

@slyecho
For testing too! I've read somewhere that they call it fuzzing nowadays 😂
@alyssa@treehouse.systems

@lrhodes Good luck with that!
With Fedi I make a lot of exceptions from my usual ways, but I'm still too paranoid to use my real photo 😅

@kaede@ilyamikcoder.com
Anime fans often ignore character's age because there is a strong high-school bias. I've had a theory that life in Japan grows too dull as you grow older — probably bullshit, but not completely ungrounded. Even if they drive giant robots or use superpowers to defeat hellbound creatures, they are still high-schoolers, often they don't act like ones and look way above their age, but school is still a part of the setting 🤷
There are shows about grown-ups of course, but not too many.
@kotik

@kroner
Should I select all squares that have cats in them or what? 😹
@neglesaks@mstdn.io

@coolboymew
Yep, same here with Nichijou — I know this show has everything I enjoy, but I can't watch it. Maybe because I expect different kind of thing from KyoAni🤷
DogaKobo on other hand are undisputed champions of this genre, beside the cult classic that is YuruYuri, almost every other show by them is superb: GJ Bu, Love Lab, GabDro, Umaru…
> Asobi Asobase
Oh, yes! Thanks for reminding me of it! It had been in my to watch list since it came out, looks like I even have it downloaded😁
@anime

@anime
I agree, it is in the vein of Nichijou. I usually enjoy shows like that: Kitakubu Katsudou Kiroku, Joshiraku and even Yuyushiki — basically girls doing nothing, cracking abstract jokes. But I couldn't watch Nichijou for some reason, I did like Wooser though, maybe because the episodes are really short.
And yes, protagonists' funeral is a running joke. I've scrubbed through 3 episodes looking for a perfect niku moment, and they've buried him two times already 🤣
@coolboymew

@hj
In fact, they make a four-piece band in the show, but it has only bass players in it so, as you can imagine, it doesn't work so well 😂
