@kino It would be great, but artists themselves are more interested in centralized platforms as they help them reach wider audience. These platforms in turn are interested in wider user base and do a lot to grow it, Fedi, decentralized in nature will never be able to compete unless decentralization becomes a priority feature for users themselves.

@thor I can't imagine any usage scenarios in which sshfs would be faster — it's basically file transger over ssh, which is always encrypted. For CIFS/SMB encryption is optional.

We were stupid enough not to translate our news into foreign languages to make more people learn what's going on here.
IMO blank sheet wasn't good for making a statement in that case, but it did expose the absurdity of police state really well.

@lrhodes Didn't work so well in Russia. Here the protestors were using this tactic long before the current anti-war protests. They still had been taken in by the police for questioning. You don't need to break any formal law to be their enemy 🤷

DWM then — it is a bummer that you have to rebuild it every time you want to bind a key, which isn't hard, but the fact that you have to restart it is annoying. Once you get through that, it's good.

But actually I didn't get what I was aiming for: I've bought the external one, but there was the internal version which could be upgraded with custom firmware that allowed rates up to 21600. I did get my hands on one, but it took time, this model was in high demand. Only external 57600 USR Courier could top that, but it was way out of my league.In a few years affordable ADSL appeared and I moved on to that. And again everyone had been using custom fw that allowed higher rates😂

@thor Never was a fan of this song, but I like their later material: Minor Earth, Major Sky; Forever Not Yours… I like good pop-music, but I rarely listen to it. I remember hanging out with my friend and her niece and she put on one of these two albums — MEMS or Lifelines and I was like: "Whoah, this is pure fire!" I've even borrowed that CD 😅
