It also means that you project has something to do with freezing frogs 🐸

@safi3@mstdn.starnix.network AFAIR you've had a problem with Wayland, so I'll refrain from recommending Sway. DWM then — it is a bummer that you have to rebuild it every time you want to bind a key, which isn't hard, but the fact that you have to restart it is annoying. Once you get through that, it's good.

@neglesaks@mstdn.io It was!
But actually I didn't get what I was aiming for: I've bought the external one, but there was the internal version which could be upgraded with custom firmware that allowed rates up to 21600. I did get my hands on one, but it took time, this model was in high demand. Only external 57600 USR Courier could top that, but it was way out of my league.In a few years affordable ADSL appeared and I moved on to that. And again everyone had been using custom fw that allowed higher rates😂

@neglesaks@mstdn.io Analog modem — and a particularly shitty one: 2400 bps. My friend had it lying around so why the hell not? I did like it though so I got myself a 14400 USR Courier a couple of months later.

@thor Never was a fan of this song, but I like their later material: Minor Earth, Major Sky; Forever Not Yours… I like good pop-music, but I rarely listen to it. I remember hanging out with my friend and her niece and she put on one of these two albums — MEMS or Lifelines and I was like: "Whoah, this is pure fire!" I've even borrowed that CD 😅

@neglesaks@mstdn.io
I do even if I didn't ask for it, but I have to take my time to dwell on it, it's hard to do that if this advice is insistently spoonfed to me😅

While true — China is indeed guilty, Western democracies weren't any better handling the pandemic: downplayed the danger of COVID, didn't close the borders in time, denied the importance of PPE, etc, etc.
Corrupt WHO is in part responsible for that, but local governments, instead of relying on it, could do their own thing — they didn't 🤷

@neural_meduza Как на счёт того, чтобы наоборот — покинуть зоопарк?

Шрифт без засечек? 🤔

@special-boy
Yeah, maybe just tentacles on their heads. Being slimy might also work in certain… setting 😋
But definitely not Saya no Uta level creature!
Adult Hachikuji is hot 😍

@EricZhang456@mstdn.starnix.network
What do you mean "leave Mastodon"? You can't just leave Mastodon! 😏

@iska@mstdn.starnix.network
No, it doesn't. Are you sure you are not confusing all allocated ram (vsz) and actually used ram (rss)? When it comes to actually used ram it's very lightweight, well under 100Mb, lighter that rxvt-unicode in most cases.
If you're THAT much into preserving RAM, you can disable scrollback buffer and I think it'll be close to st.

re: Cursed fanfics

@neural_meduza Профилактика передозировки пошла 🤣

@root Ooh, the old IBM mainframe trick! Intel actually tried that too in early 2000s. Internet wasn't that widespread so they had been just selling you more performant CPU for more money, but it was identical to the less performant. You could use a graphite pencil to connect two pins and unlock the multiplier to turn your 300MHz Celeron into 500MHz Celeron 😄
