— Hi
— Hi? Earthling, I thought you'd be like "WTF?!" when you see me
— No, man, it's you who is going to be like "WTF?!" a lot pretty soon

Если только как топливо и смазку операторов этих беспилотников 🤣

Purple Madoka doesn't look too healthy. Is this what doing good thing does to you? 🤔

Last time I built Firefox for it, I had to cross-compile rust. It's considered third-tier platform, you can't even build it natively.
I do this for entertainment purposes only, I just like this thing more than my more modern Mac Pro workstation for some reason 😁
@thor No, it's my old PowerMac G5, which lives there in the corner. I think I could find uses for it, but it's too expensive to keep the thing running all the time — these dual CPU machines drain power like mining farms.
I have Mac OS X 10.4 and VoidLinux for PowerPC on it, I sometimes turn it on just to build newer software and fix things that break. ppc64-musl is configuration no longer supported even by Daniel, the original VoidPPC author.
@neural_meduza
Даже сомнений в этом не было — а то вообще все разбегутся.
@tamtararam
There is SVDIR environment variable that defaults to /var/service and all sv commands but status honor it. You can also have per-user services, I'm not sure it's in Void docs, but you can look up how to set this up, in this case your SVDIR is set to some subdir in your home and again, all sv commands work, except for status, which requires full path.
@tamtararam
sv status doesn't work like that, you have to specify the full service directory path explicitly.
E.g. use "sv status /var/service/*" to see the status of all system services.
@thor True, but I think they rely on specialized co-processor cores a lot. The laptop I use now can't handle some 4k movies, my cheap Samsung TV does this without a hitch. Not only that, it does some smoothing and maybe even some color correction on-the-fly. I have to say, I'm really impressed by what it does — looks way better than if you connect a computer to it and play the same movie file.
@Pixificial
Oh, yes, this one's perfect!
I wish we could always use the best tools for the job, but sometimes you just have to go for the one you have on hand 😅

Ok, got it!

Does it affect battery life? I use Tusky, which uses Unified Push, ntfy and all that — shouldn't be a problem, but I've noticed that being active on Fedi and getting a lot of notifications still has a noticeable impact on my phone's battery life.

I'm not against a little shitposting now and then, I just wanted to know which one is the primary, in other words which one you are most active at.
I know you usually react to e.g. cats in some way, but last time I posted some cats in reply to your mastodon.social account, you didn't and I got the idea that maybe it's automatically mirrored 🤷
It's your accounts, do whatever you're comfortable with, it's not a problem for me at all 👌

At least uBO and Privacy Possum are there. In Fennec F-droid you can even access about:config to disable WebRTC.

Rock and hip-hop/rap music is going to be prevalent here because these songs have lyrics. Okay, and I'm biased. There are a lot of talented Russian jazz and electronic musicians and I'm going to make room for them by making a few exceptions, here for example.
Punk-jazz band that you can actually dance to, their live shows are superb! Friends of mine so it's always a few beers and a great walk at night time in Moscow — if they have a gig, I'm in! 😅
I'm going to post some Russian music. If there is Russian culture worth preserving, it's this, not Dostoevsky and Tolstoy. I know, Dostoevsky was influential, but to me he's just second grade Kafka (who was influenced by him). I'll pick Joyce and Proust any day, Russian literature would probably end at the bottom of my chart. Same with music, I love Stravinsky and Skriabin for example, but they aren't that well known in Russia, not that Russian I guess 🤷
Okay, let's roll!

Just in case: DMs/PMs simply don't exist on this instance as concept — don't use them, use the other instance if you absolutely have to, or send an email to any address at m0xEE.Net or .Com or .Org, but I prefer keep most communication public.
