@alex@treehouse.systems Is batgirls a word because there is a comic book character with that or is that a prime example of discrimination? 🤔

@root Did the AI have to raise her from the dead to… interact with her?

You set the figurine beside you and it transforms.
You get a bad feeling about this.
The baby red dragon bites you.
You begin bashing monsters with your bare hands.
You miss the baby red dragon.
The baby red dragon claws you.
You die…
Do you want your possessions identified? [ynq] (y)

@cel I remember it quite well, everyone was playing it, but I never gave the game a chance because I hated the first game 😅
I know it's considered some sort of a golden age nowadays, but I really hated some games of that era, like original Fallout and original Starcraft…
Maybe I was just a non-conformist, maybe not, because I really liked some of the mainstream stuff like Quake, C&C and Dungeon Keeper.

@traabot Should be the liquid metal one. To blend in better 😅

@root Like… is she imaginary or does she not exist at all?

@thor Here is a weird Russian news headline for you: "The archaeologists discovered a civilization of absolutely happy people. They were all dead" 🤪

@elb gomuks is a good TUI Matrix client. I'm not sure about spaces (I only use it for IM), but it does support E2EE. When I want as little resources as possible used, but still get notified if someone messages me and want to be able to reply quickly, I usually use it.
Even for Element I see no point in running the Electron app, why not a Firefox window with Element web app? For me it consumes less than one percent of CPU when not focused and idle.

@millihertz
> we have lost tractability
Exactly! Most of technologies behind the modern web, the file formats, were supposed to be human-readable, but look at the source of any modern "web app" especially the javascript part — it's as readable as a disassembled binary. No one needs that anymore, but it's still there just consuming resources.

@futzle Gemini is another good example. There certainly is demand for that, but alas it's not mainstream 🤷

>disk-consuming
Compared to what some mainstream distros want now — for all the programs to bring their set of libraries with them, it's not that bad at all 😅
@retroedgetech

@thor I think it just means it should suit your team building presentation, nothing too evil 😈

@thor Mine are disciplined, but very… involved? 🤔
I think it's their breed, they love interaction. When I had only one of them, he was feeling lonely — sometimes crying when he was bored. Oh, yes, they are talkative. So I had to get him a friend. She's his niece in human terms but I don't think they care😹
Now they play a lot or just lounge around together, but they like human interaction too. When I have guests one of them is the soul of the party, the other one is more of an introvert I suppose

@thor Oh, mine are super-disciplined!
They sometimes do weird shit to get my attention, but not what cats usually do like chewing on cables, throwing stuff off the shelves, sitting on the keyboard… Love them😻
