@safiuddinkhan@fosstodon.org Yeah, I've seen the trailer/prerelease video so I was expecting it too. Does it live up to its expectations though? Everyone's so hyped up, not that it's wrong, it's a game with cat as a playable character after all 😸
But no real evidence of gameplay and story being really good.
Steam-only is bad though, I've never made an account as the client always segfaulted on me. I'll wait till it's on GOG — should happen sooner or later.
@neural_meduza В московском метро вообще всё живое является гибридом чего-нибудь и свиньи 🐷
@murks I'm not pushing SfOS, I'm sure you have lots of your own reasons to use Android. I'm just testing this app to do something meaningful.
Sorry for using your post as testing grounds 🙏
@murks I'm considering giving up using Android and making SailfishOS my daily driver. I'm using Tooter Beta on to write this comment (and the previous one). It's a community port, but my phone works mostly fine. The apps are scarce, but I don't need much: there is a Matrix client, a Fedi client and the browser kinda works for me. There are kinks to iron out here in there, but it's quite usable.
@murks I use Fennec mostly and only use Bromite WebView as a replacement for Google's implementation. I've tried disabling WebView completely and the only app I use that stopped working was Skype, so I think I'm fine 😄
But yes, it takes time for software on Fdroid to get updated. Sometimes I just go to the github releases page and download the .apk-file. Not sure if it's possible for component like Bromite WebView.
@neural_meduza Можно с ними подружиться, если предложить им что-нибудь съедобное. Или спиртное!
Но приручить — вряд ли, они не живут в неволе.
@safiuddinkhan@fosstodon.org Well, at least they didn't start war in the region that will likely launch global energy and food crisis 🤷
Although I think there were some serious "tensions" a couple of years ago, but at least that was avoided.
It's not just your country, something wrong's going on globally. Let's just hope it won't get worse!
@iska@mstdn.starnix.network Oh, yes, I forgot to make a point 😅
The community/movement couldn't afford being picky when you had to use flash to upload large files using web browser.
Free software definitely enjoys wider adoption nowadays so it's okay that not everyone is strict about having open firmware or having no DRM. Things are not getting worse, little-by-little they are getting better.
@Gerfand @Dicer @dowitcher @LouisConde
Maybe it's expensive because it doesn't get software updates on Thanksgiving? 🤷
@iska@mstdn.starnix.network It's still in way better state than it ever was.
There were times when you had pretty good chances that half your hardware won't work like soundcard or winmodem (you actually wanted it to work!) or your USB ADSL-modem. Or you had to resort to ndiswrapper to get your wired network to work, if you used that sometimes you had to use wine to actually use internet because your ISP was fucked up in the head. And you had to install adobe flash plugin to use some websites 🤪
It WAS way worse.
@alinanorakari If this gpop is something like De/Vision or And One, count me in!
@DrewNaylor @LinuxLounge 3G is more than enough for this thing to order us about 😄
I feel the same about live tiles. Both iOS and Android (with any launcher) are bad it it. SailfishOS is nice, but you can't run it on any phone and apps are a HUGE problem.
None
Just in case: DMs/PMs simply don't exist on this instance as concept — don't use them, use the other instance if you absolutely have to, or send an email to any address at m0xEE.Net or .Com or .Org, but I prefer keep most communication public.
