@spectra@mastodon.ml Всё так! Пока людская вера в то, что она как-то шевелится, ещё держится на подпрыгиваниях и словесных интервенциях. Но с теми отраслями, по которым есть хотя бы косвенные показатели, уже всё ясно. Думаю, уже до конца года мы увидим некое событие, которое пошатнёт эту веру.
Впрочем, из меня Ванга так себе. Лично мне казалось, что всё то, что происходит сейчас, должно было произойти ещё году в 16-ом, а оно вон как 😅

I've built a few things from sources, but not that much, like gcc, curl, git, tor, openvpn, maybe a few others.
I can't really update it as it still has kernel 2.6 and I'm too incompetent and lazy to make a device tree for a newer one. And I still use this thing daily — it has squid running on it 😳

@sai Oh, scenes like this are abundant in Monogatari series, but I find it funny how they gave the most tomboyish girl the most risqué scenes.
I really like that scenes like these, weird dialogues, funny ones and action scenes are well balanced throughout the show. I think I didn't watch the last season, have to stock up on beers or something and rewatch the whole thing someday.

@sai The particular instance of Invidious/Piped/whatever might be down and the link won't work. I always post link to YouTube, this way the extension in your browser like LibRedirect will just pick your favourite instance instead.
I don't use frontends like these at all, I prefer using youtube-dl and in this case a direct link to YouTube is also preferrable so you can just copy the link and paste it in terminal 🤷🏿

@wy477wh173 I've found this video of my cat playing Cat Quest co-op mode with me. I've shot it to post on the Cat Quest subreddit. The developers keep saying that co-op mode is new to Cat Quest 2, which is obviously a blatant lie — it was there in the original game, it just wasn't designed for humans 😹
I didn't post it as I've realized I've got to have a Reddit account for that, but I still have the video.

@appak Oh, most cats are like that — they don't like being disurbed. One of my cats, Lisa, on the left in the photos, is very friendly and playful, but also runs away when disturbed sitting on your lap. The other one — Grisha, on the right, just doesn't care. Sometimes it's even hard to get rid of him when you're busy as he immediately hops back on if you try to put him on the floor 😹
He LOVES human interaction, he can sit on your lap even if he sees you for the first time!

Firefox wants pulseaudio for audio input to work, but as I hate pulse, I use this wrapper called apulse. It introduces some lag which makes audio and video out of sync. It's okay for video calls and such, but it pisses me off watching videos like this. With youtube-dl I can also keep the video if I like it — so youtube-dl is my weapon of choice when it comes to dealing with web video.

@cyberspook @fugger @iska@mstdn.starnix.network It should be like this in theory. But in reality js is often abused and you can't even read text without these fancy decorations. I have js blocked by default in firefox and even some sites for the tech-savvy like python.org or stackexchange show you warnings about enabling js. Pleroma doesn't show you a thing with js disabled I think.
You can use youtube-dl or mpv directly (which in turn will use youtube-dl) for youtube, but you can't avoid js on some other sites.

@appak My cats sleep under a blanket when it's cold and I cover them, but they don't hide like that themselves. Jokes aside, maybe they don't feel comfortable about it for some reason. They prefer their cool (but warm) sweaters and their heated rug.
Oh, they do come under the blanket themselves when I'm under that blanket too! Maybe they feel cuddly or maybe they just feel safer this way, knowing I'm already there and no one will sit on top of them by accident 😸

They just don't do it often as they don't want someone to mistake them for 🐷🐷 in a blanket (which are in turn just hot 🐶🐶 in disguise) and eat them 🙀
