@murks I'm pretty sure it just adds name, url and favicon to some obscure sqlite database in your profile directory, but they worked really hard to prevent you from finding it 🤣

@murks Funny thing is — you can add a new search engine by entering URL with %s placeholder manually in Firefox for Android, but not the desktop version! They really want you to go to this Mycroft Project website and find something that fits your needs or use the extension. This is insane!

Neither matrix, nor XMPP are replacement for e-mail. They are complimentary. I voted matrix, but in reality if I could keep only one, I'd probably choose e-mail — can't live without it.

При чём, в США всё это началось после Occupy Wall Street — темы, которая объединила людей самых разных взглядов. Видимо, решили, что ничем хорошим это не закончится и лучше нацепить на крестьян кепки красного и синего цветов и заставить пиздиться друг с другом.
Сразу на поверхность всплыли палеолибертарианцы и прочая шваль. Просто ужас — противно смотреть на всё это!

@milofultz Yes, you can get used to anything. But it's better to use what you are comfortable with, especially if you can afford it😄
And of course, free software will never enjoy the level of uniformity commercial software has, because everyone implements features as one sees fit, there is no one who has a central vision of how to do things. It's an advantage and a disadvantage at the same time. So certain amount of "Who could ever come up with this?!" moments is inevitable.

@milofultz @neauoire I believe it's like this because people who use image editors have some habits acquired from software they previously used.
I don't edit images that often so I don't have such habits and at least GIMP's menu structure seems intuitive to me. I agree though, the shortcuts are a mess. I also have old Photoshop CS2 and sometimes it takes a couple of seconds for me to find what I want in the menu.
