I support independence of #Ukraine because I am a #Nationalist, or someone who recognizes that mono-ethnic nations are the only functional ones.
Ukrainians are different from Russians and the #Holodomor proves that, plus we know that the USSR shipped Russians into Baltic and Slavic lands in order to "Russify" them as a pretext to seizure.
What we send to Ukraine is a tiny sliver of what we spend domestically on healthcare, social security, welfare, and schools.
@amerika I'd have thought being overrun by Russins and not capitulating whould ern more respect among the 2nd amendment types but these last few years have been a let down all round.

Yeah, it's odd. Usually it's the left who are somewhat delusional about international matters and tend to support anyone who is not US including all sorts of dictatorships. This time for some reason it's the exact opposite.

I think the Right imitates the Left because the Left is simpler and so has been winning for centuries in our decay cycle, so the Right has given up, does not believe it can win, and is just trying to invent enough cope to feel OK about the collapse of Western Civilization for another day.
This time they have turned themselves into Useful Idiots for China, much as the Left did during Vietnam.

I'm not in the US so I can only base my opinion on what I read/watch, but I had a gut feeling it's like that. And I'm kind of left-leaning myself, but it's not about who's right who's wrong at all. It's about this primitive name-calling that had been successfully exploited by the left — now I see this on both sides. The level of political dialogue is in its low point😩

Until the Right connects with its actual self, it will not offer enough of an option to the status quo, therefore we are going to get more focus on symbolic issues instead of substantive ones.
Flag burning, abortion, special interests... these will dominate.
